I think someone sent me a compilation tape they did for me many moons ago with this song. It’s pure genius, fantastic. However, it’s a shame that you didn’t post the other side as this is the only song I’ve heard of by The Puncture.

this is a great record… one of my faves, and one of englands finest obscure 45s. pogel, the b side is killer too, just go buy one!

  3. killedbycandis Says:

Any chance of getting the B-side posted? I’ve loved this song ever since I heard it on KBD #14. I also had no idea that the Exploited covered “mucky pup” up until about a year ago (seeing as I never cared for them, not a bad cover though). I can’t possibly afford an original copy on record store monkey salary, so pretty please?

If you are looking for a copy of ‘Can’t play rock ‘n roll in a council flat’, Cherry Red records has it on Small Wonder Punk Singles Collection Volume 2 CDPUNK70. It’s out of stock on the Cherry Red website, but you can probably find it on gemm.com or amazon

    SpraypaintManifesto,
Thanks For the tip, but I’ve been unsuccesful tracking it down so far just like their “Punk Rock Rarities Vol. 2″ CD. I’ll keep trying though….

Hi killedbycandis, and anyone else who’s interested, you can download “you can’t rock n roll” from here http://www.tunetribe.com/ It costs 86p. I had this record in the late 70’s, and lost it in the mists of time, as you do. So glad I’ve got it again - these two songs are excellent. Hope this helps you guys.

  8. wedge Says:

B-side sounds like a bunch of high school losers attempting to imitate a PINK FAIRIES song. in other words, ITS FREAKING INCREDIBLE!!!

Great Song. I am lucky enough to work with one of the band by the way. I would love to hear the b-side some time.

  12. The Flakes // Drummer Says:

Jo punk var bra på slutet till början av 80talet. Från 1984 och famåt har det dalat rätt rejält speciellt i Bilbao och San Sebastian.

  13. The Flakes // Drummer Says:

Hoppla hoppla “…slutet av 70 till början av 80talet.” ska det vara.
