Dangerhouse Records released a good deal of great records where The Deadbeats 7inch are the best and as number two we have Rhino 39. The flipside with “Xerox/No Compromise” is Hardcore done in 1979. The intro to “No Compromise” give me chills: Do de do de do de super size bla bla bla no compromise no compromise… Correct me if I’m wrong but I think Dave Dacron – Vocals died in a car crash in 1980?

It says on breakmyface.com that “They continued for years afterwards, but things were calmer after singer Dave Dacron was killed in a car crash shortly before graduation, truly a case of unrealized but very great potential.” I think he was only 16 too. So sad.

If I am not mistaken, Joel also did the artwork for the 7″???? The double CD is really good. It is a shame that the video does not have the original sound…very bummed about that.

I love these guys – great, original hardcore sound, and they looked like totaly average high school kids when I knew them.
Needless to say, I was deeply saddened by Dave’s death.
I really pushed for the inclusion of their great song “J. Alfred” on “Hell Comes to Your House”, but I was outvoted.
AT least it saw the light of day on “American Youth Report”.
