Knugen Faller - Inte Som Ni E.P. 7″
May 6th, 2006 at 7:39 am
What strikes me when I rip Swedens finest “Knugen Faller” is that the bass line is the same as one of Raped Teenagers(our old band) old songs “Jag Vill Inte”. But this is of course much better. I was kind of euforic when I first heard “Knugen Faller” thinking “wow at last someone gets IT again”. This is their second 7inch and has members from some more well known swedish bands. No I won’t tell you who they are. In my opinion this is one of the best swedish punk rock 7inches ever made.

hmmmm….ive heard about this band for a while, now i get to hear them…the 1st track is TERRIBLE!! i was ready to give up after listening to it. WAY too POP for my PUNK tastes…good thing i listened to the other 3 tracks!! the rest of this ep KILLS!!! AWESOME fresh PUNK sounds that almost sound like a lost band from the “AK-79″ comp LP, but only a different time/place; and NOT sounding old/retro or boring…
GREAT!!! would love to hear some more stuff!!!

I always enjoy reading what you write Wedge! Both here and over at 7inchpunk.com. Straight and to the point to what you like and not. “Inte som ni” is the outstanding track you just don’t get it ;).
The thing about sounding fresh but still hints at the old times without getting trapped in the oh so dangerous retro trap is exactly my point too. Few can do it but “Knugen Faller” comes out clean.

Nice stuff, indeed, but nowhere near RAPED TEENAGERS …..

The (International) Noise Conspiracy and Totalt Jävla Mörker members decided that they wanted to play hippie punk. Saying that this is among the great EP’s from Sweden, a country with a vast catalog of great punk rock records, is beyond me. I don’t think it will hold up to the test of time. Now, please ridicule me and say my opinion is idiot jabber.

Pissmop, I ridicule you. Your opinion is idiot jabber.
Seriously, though, I think this and the earlier EP are great punk rock - thanks for posting these. Could do without the saxophone, however.

What about the other 2 songs. I want to hear them too. I just have the Lugna Favoriter LP, because it was nearly impossible to get the fist two EPs.

If you want to hear the other two you have to buy it. I think wastedsounds.se still have it. Kaj the record boss wasn’t too keen to have all the tracks up here.
