Kriminella Gitarrer - 36 patroner 7″

Saturday, May 27th, 2006

kriminella_36.jpgYeasterday I took a visit to my long time gay friend and tidelags loving dude the TVEye // Drummer who have a much bigger knowledge then me when it comes to old swedish punk. Though I’ve been in the business since summer 1977 I was more keen on the foreign stuff. Shame on me I know! But my oh my how much great stuff I miss in my collection compared to what he got. I hope he gets his penis out of the most beatiful cows in Mjolbys ass and post some of it here. Kriminella Gitarrers third and last 7inch. The Svetsad track is a crappy instrumental reggeae songs that is NOT worth a listen. Thank me that I spared that time for you.

Docent Dod - Sven Jerrings rost 7″

Saturday, May 27th, 2006

docent_jerring.jpgSven Jerring was a famous radio host here in Sweden. Docent Dods first and only attempt into raw and obnoxious Punk Rock. They later became one of Swedens biggest powerpop bands for a long time to come. Joppe the vocalist can now be seen as a TV host on and off. Right now he’s hosting a show about cars. Zzzzzz I hate cars and raggare is a bunch of motherfuckers! Anyway, their first 12″ EP is amazing powerpop and must be posted later on. Klockan ett is an extremly long and boring non punk rock song so don’t bother asking for it.

Chronic - No Time 7″ flexi

Saturday, May 27th, 2006

chronic_notime_insert.jpgHere’s a really obscure record that I’ve had since the late 80’s I think. Can’t remember who I got it from. This is a big call to Steve at Low Down Kids or James at Worthless Trash to help me out since I’ve found absolutly nothing on Chronics. Not even on a want list. The intro is completly pointless bit as soon as the song starts going it’s a great Clashis punk rock song that would fit on one of those famous compilations. The other band on this flexi “Living End” is so bad it should be erased from history forever.

Why Are We Here? comp. 7″

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

whyarewe_cover.jpgOne of the greatest 7inch compilations ever made. People rave about C.O.C. on this comp but what makes it standout are the incredible tracks by Stillborn Christians! So original, catchy and just…just fucking awesome! “Originally a cassette which included tracks by No Rock Stars, replaced by Stillborn Christians on the 7″“. Anyone heard the No Rock Stars songs? Feel free to fill in any information about the bands on this comp!

The Lewd - American Wino LP

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

lewd_wino.jpgA classic american punk rock record that is way better then their slightly overrated “Kill Yourself” 7inch. The b-side is record live and I could easily live without it. No, what makes this record great is all the tracks on the a-side. Everything from song length, song titles, lyrics and the production is just perfect. “The Lewd were an outgrowth of an earlier band called the Sixteen Year Old Virgins, who changed their name to the Knobs. Lead singer J. Satz Baret was formerly as “Satin Sheets,” and played in the later, non-cabaret version of Ze Whiz Kids, circa 1975. Ze Whiz Kids, primarily a theater group, also included Tomata Du Plenty, later of the Screamers.” More info about The Lewd at: www.thelewd.com.

Human Therapy - Domesticated People E.P. 7″

Saturday, May 20th, 2006

humantherapy_domesticated.jpgTheir first and really great 7inch. “Domesticated People” should get you hooked immediately. Their second one is not worth seeking out but you can find this really cheap. From California. Anyone, except Rob Noxious, who’ve got any info on them?

Pointed Sticks - Out Of Luck E.P. 7″

Friday, May 19th, 2006

pointed_sticks_outstiff.jpgOddly enough this seems to be the hardest of all the official Pointed Stick 7inches to get hold of. Odd since it’s released on Stiff Records. “Out Of Luck” and “Somebody’s Mom” is actually better then the versions on the Quintessence releases. The “original” version of “Sombody’s Mom” can be found in an earlier post.
