Kraut - Unemployed E.P. 7″

June 4th, 2006 at 12:18 pm

kraut_unemployed.jpgAlot better then the hyped “Kill For Cash” 7″. I was so dissapointed when I got hold of “Kill…” that I got rid of it right away. What was/is all the fuzz about? This on the other hand is a solid killer NY punk rock 7inch. I saw a video of a reformed Kraut and it was…well am I allowed to use THAT word again? Ok here we go: CRAP!

I agree wholeheartedly, this one’s pretty damn good while the other pretty much blows. Scarcity does not equal quality.

Much better than Kill For Cash - “I’m f*cking my girl at the matinee” - classic

this record is good. i like it. and while owning neither, i sort of like the other one too. i remember the LP not being as good as either 7″…

I agree- “Kill For Cash” is pretty bad. Musically it reminds me too much of some rock star wank fest. “Unemployed” has always been my favorite Kraut song. The 1st Kraut LP is pretty good (at least to my ears) but there is some wanky crap on it that drags on. The 2nd Kraut LP is pretty bad and too metal for me.

Was always a bit wary when it came to KRAUT. I just thought they’d be a bit too “rock” for my liking, but this 7″ smokes. Three great tracks and I love the fact that there’s a bit of variety. Have to check out their first LP.

  8. CORPUS 77 Says:

TOTALLY AGREE, THIS FAR BEATS THE SHIT OUT OF THE KILL FOR CASH 7″

    CHEERS CORPUS 77

I have to agree “unemployed” is a great recording.
but “Kill for cash” still stands out.# 1 they were only together a month. #2 it’s only a two track
recording.and #3 they were the first N.Y.C punk band to have A 7″ out. At$200 a pop and only 1000
    pressings Hey! I’ll take EM.

Is the guy above a Cromagnon perhaps?(Nudge, nudge, wink, wink…)I like both 7’s, and the 1st Lp. I love Rock’n'Roll!!!

  12. pirateradionut Says:

LOVE the 1st LP, 2nd LP is just okay
