Xdreamysts – Right Way Home 7″

xdreamysts.jpgThis has to be the most underrated 7inch out of all the Good Vibration releases. Great powerpop on the a-side and a sucker on the flip. Fantastic “wavy” guitar sound to boot. And they look just right! I say fuck Johnny Rotten and his:”Never trust a hippy.”. There’s some news for you fake punks:”Never trust a punk.”.

I kinda like the B-side, their LP (a Dutch only release) is good too, may be a bit poppy for some though.

Then you know what to post at Worthless Trash next time around ;).

I think with the exception of SLF, undertones, most irish punk is underrated. oddly enough alot of irish punk is REALLY poppy. i say that is odd given the unrest between catholics and prodestants and the IRA blowing shit up all the time… you would think the music would be more pissed off… but its surprisingly pleasant…

Brilliant record. I’ve been trying to get to the bottom of an XDreamysts mystery though: anyone ever seen a copy of this single in a completely different p/s with ‘Rock’n’The North” on the front? I’ve seen a scan, but I think it’s fake (or at least not from anywhere near 1978). Anyone?

excellent band. Love them. Would love to hear their album though….Hint!! All of the North Irish bands had something in common, great songs. from The Undertones to Rudi, Outcasts, Moondogs, Protex, SLF, Victim, Ruefrex and many more. Top stuff. Check out the book:

This gives quite a comprehensive listing of all things NI and great.

Sorry, if that link pisses anyone off. I could not think of where to add it.
