i was bought a recordable turntable recently and started to copy my old vinyl records onto my laptop. have just listened to xdreamysts album on my ipod – fantastic!! a couple of the tracks were jumped badly so i didnt copy those but got most of them.

excellent band. Love them. Would love to hear their album though….Hint!! All of the North Irish bands had something in common, great songs. from The Undertones to Rudi, Outcasts, Moondogs, Protex, SLF, Victim, Ruefrex and many more. Top stuff. Check out the book:

Brilliant record. I’ve been trying to get to the bottom of an XDreamysts mystery though: anyone ever seen a copy of this single in a completely different p/s with ‘Rock’n'The North” on the front? I’ve seen a scan, but I think it’s fake (or at least not from anywhere near 1978). Anyone?

I think with the exception of SLF, undertones, most irish punk is underrated. oddly enough alot of irish punk is REALLY poppy. i say that is odd given the unrest between catholics and prodestants and the IRA blowing shit up all the time… you would think the music would be more pissed off… but its surprisingly pleasant…
