The Stingrays – Coundown E.P. 7″

stingrays.jpgTwo killer punk/powerpop tracks(Countdown and Action) and one decent 60’s influenced pop song which is out of the scoop of this site to be included. On the Fried Egg label that also released an awesome 7inch by The Fans. “I loved the Stingrays. When they played with us (which they often did at venues as diverse as The Stonehouse and Trinity Church) I usually enjoyed their set more than ours.

Funny, that, cos I always only really liked “Exceptions”! Anyone fancy doing us a favour and posting their second single, “Never Do”, cos I only ever heard it once and can’t remember much about it…?

They have also got a cool song – Sound – on the great Avon Calling comp out of Bristol – which you can find here: http://rideyourpony-twighlightzone.blogspot.com/2006/07/said-by-john-peel-to-be-compilation-by.html

Great site for 60s punk/ trash/ psyche + power pop, mod + some early punk too…
