Standing Waves – Integrating Circuits 7″

standingwaves.jpgI love this record. Integrating Circuits is manic and hectic punk ala two of my top favourite bands: XTC and Devo. And flip this baby and you’ll find an awesome mellow Costelloesque tune in the My Aim Is Tru era sort of vein. Simply fantastic. From Texas, United States Of Sibyllakorv.

I love this band. In 2003 they released “A Short History Of Standing Waves Part 1” (Classified Records 007). It includes eight studio tracks and some live tracks recorded at Raul’s, Duke’s Royal Coach Inn and the Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin. Great stuff.

Great! Don’t Worry reminds me of Human Switchboard. Thank you.

Good punk, new wave band, surprised they didn’t get bigger. I know they released a video for “Vertigo”, used to be on youtube, but it got pulled. Anyone know where I can get a hold of it? Thanks.
