The First Steps – The Beat Is Back E.P. 7″

firststeps_beatisback.jpgOh no!!!! Another KILLER punk/powerpop record is beeing posted. Will it never end? Hopefully not. The First Steps first 7inch. And for good reasons The Beat Is Back have been comped on one of the best compilation series ever: Back To Front.

 

This band released two classic singles, one in 1979 and the other a year later. The band owned the ‘English Rose’ label themselves and released both singles on this label.

    THE ‘BEAT IS BACK ‘IS A CLASSIC, BUT THE OTHER 2 ARE INFERIOR BY A MILE, THERE OTHER 7″ IS FAR BETTER.

    Thanks for the very nice comment Rich :)!!! That helps alot to keep the spirit alive. I’ll do my thing and I love it but then it’s much aprreciated to read what people thinks about the stuff that’s been posted. If you love it then that’s great, let me know. And if you hate it then shot baby. I have no problems with that either.

    Question: is She Ain’t in Love supposed to fade at the end of the song like it does here? Or is it a mistake?
