First heard over James/Worthless Trash. Formed in Southend, Essex in 1973. “A live LP, Five Live Kursaals, was released by CBS and in the autumn of 1977 we toured the UK with punk group The Cortinas in support. Every show climaxed with Paul demolishing a TV set with an axe…“.
Television Generation is a great attempt at punk rock from these long going guys. Sounds like a punked up version of Sweet(which is an old favourite band of mine). And might not be so strange since Glam rock had a huge influence on punk. And with that stutter on T-t-t-t-t televison it’s hard to go wrong. The intro might remind you of a song by the Sex Pistols. The b-side Revolver is a plain boring rock song.

Not from Scotland but from Southend, Essex. You’re right the B-side is boring as is everything else they done, but this one song is a forgotten gem.
Thanks James! The correct info is now there.
The Kursaal was an area along the seafront of Southend-on-Sea that had the arcades machines, rides, restaurants etc and the pier. I guess it still exists although I have been awol for a while. The band are lame. Give me the Sinyx or Kronstadt Uprising anyday instead.
I might give you Kronstadt Uprising one day, though the anarcho-acting sometimes gets on my nerves a bit.
