i agree with yeank the deep end is great and can be found all over atlanta for cheap also the atlanta comp standardeviation is great with tracks from the q’s the restraints tha basics and other bands anyone interested in a copy let me know still able to find sealed ones

I call bullshite on the Idler’s assessment of The Swimming Pool Qs first album “The Deep End.” It was full of great tracks, among them “A-Bomb Woke Me Up,” “Little Misfit” and (my personal fav) “Big Fat Tractor.” It’s one of those albums that should be on every critic’s list of the classics of the Eighties!

Seem to recall that there’s a even better version of this on an album – I’ll try and dig it out; I do remember that it was the only decent track on that album, and that you could always find copies in the bargain basement at record+tape exchage in notting hill for 20p.
