The Riptides – Tomorrows Tears 7″

riptides_cover.jpgThe Numbers-Sunset Strips(posted some months ago) changed their name to The Riptides and became more of a powerpop band. That wasn’t a bad idea wich this record fully proves. Tomorrows Tears is as classic as a classic can be. Well crafted from start to finish. Not a single weak spot. Concidering the song is 3:04 that’s a big compliment from my side. The b-side is a sad story on the other hand.

The label name’s appopriate at least. The first Sports record is better than this.

  7. Jesse says:

Love this song! Do you happen to have the b-side? Curious to hear it…

    • The Flakes // Drummer says:

Yeah it’s on the other side of the record ;). Another one who needs a repost and new rip!

      • Stig Dangerman says:

        Wait, MP3s have two sides?

I’ve never in fact seen one, but evidently someone was cutting vinyl grooves into CDs. In some CD players the disc would still play, and then you could spin it on your turntable too. Moronic and clever at the same time!

      • Jesse says:

I flipped the MP3 over on my turntable, but it just plays the same song backward. :)

Would enjoy a re-post with the b-side included.
