Could just as well been the first 76% Uncertain 7inch. C.I.A. released an LP but by then they had lost their backbone: Bones-Vocals, Kenny-Rythm Guitar and Bill-Drums(on this recording he was still in Reflex From Pain) who went on to form 76% Uncertain. Yes the LP sucks.

Up here is classic US HC from 1983. Essential lyrics like on the 7 second long Who Cares? topped with great song writing and clever arrangement. Tasty!

Perfect record! Had this already on my “to be posted” pile. 500 made of the original, btw - used to be difficult to find and very expensive for a short time (one of them trend-wave-peaks, you know), no goes for a third of it on eBay.

All this time (since mid 80’s) I have always thought this was 76% Uncertain. No wonder I could never find this set of tunage

  4. Senap Says:

Of course this is a classic EP. Bought this one together with the Clitboys EP. Saw that both of them is out on the “Back in the days” blog.
This one, the C.I.A EP, is one of the classix that have aged with dignity.
And since I’ve already downloaded this one before I had to change the mp3’s cuz you always got better sound on your shit, Peter!
Now put out the RF7 “Fall In” goddammit!!

  5. The Flakes // Drummer Says:

Glad you like the rips Senap :). The Back In The Days blog post mp3s from other bloggers. They’ve cancelled the SOA post wich they got from punkrecords.org but they still have Shattered Faith from here and the Die Kreuzen rip from 7inchpunk.

this band were really great. They were musicians and had different angle on hardcore music than young punks discovered punk besides to they first contact with hardcore like CIRCLE JERKS or BLACK FLAG. They had acknowledge with their instruments with the same confidence like for example HUSKER DU or MINUTEMEN. They know how to play brutal music. Thank you for this post and for that you post a whole records now…

  7. Eric Says:

E is right, this is a perfect record. I can play this one over and over to this day. Too bad the LP was such a let down.

  8. d Says:

Evidently there’ll be a compilation of outtakes and whatnot from the sessions that went into this 7″ Their music rules and they’re good guys as well.

links from Technoratihere. Over the last 2 or 3 years, word has spread about this 7″. When about 10 years ago, somebody in germany bootleged this one, nobody cared about it too much the first couple of years. Nowadays even the bootleg (on green vinyl) sells for a good price.

  11. Renik Says:

Deffinately a cool 7″. I will be looking forward to the CD that’s supposed to come out on Incas at some point. Thanks for making this available to listen to. I’ve been itching to hear this one for awhile.
