Kriminella Gitarrer – Silvias unge 7″

Second and last release of the original line up of swedens Kriminella gitarrer. Not as raw production wise as their first blaster Vardad kladsel nor the less equally great.

Those guitar melody lines is something for the new breed of emo bands to pick up on. Simple and not as winy as for example My Chemical Romances or Panic At The Disco extremely annoying licks. Do I glorify the past? Allways!

Don’t like this. Maybe if I could understand the lyrics I’d would.

  3. Peter says:

I really love the ending of Silvias Unge. The record sleeves were also better in the old days. They sure could pose. Ja Jävlar!!

  4. Tony says:

Fuck!!! “Silvias Unge” has been one of my favorite Swedish punk songs of all time for many years! The guitar playing is so mean and vicious sounding. In an old issue of Ugly Things ‘zine from ’95, Mr. Kugelberg said that “Silvias Unge” was not on the same level as “Vardad Kladsel”- damn, he was wrong, wrong, wrong!!! I was very lucky to find a pretty cheap copy of “Silvias” about 5 years go in dead mint condition. Cumstains across my record collection!!!!

  5. Peter says:

Mistah Kugelberg`s opinions are not the truth. Stick to your own!

  6. E. says:

But his opinions aren’t the truth neither! Please stick to mine.

  7. Peter says:

Lead us! Guide us through this vinyl hell!

  8. E. says:

I’m already doing so! I like to call myself the Maimonides of Punk Rock (and else).

  9. E. says:

PS: Can somebody explain me what is in Hitler’s barn? Like shovels and picks etc.? A tractor too maybe?

  10. Peter says:

It´s the sound of “Aggroculture”. Very common in the south of Sweden.

  11. E. says:

So Hitler had a barn in the south of Sweden???

  12. Peter says:

    Yes in Sjöbo!

  13. E. says:

    That’s crazy! We’re re-writing history here!!

  14. Peter says:

    Are we not, just!!!

  15. E. says:

Being historian myself, I would love to go to Hitler’s barn once. Maybe it would me inspire me or maybe, I could do “things” with the two Peters of Sweden in that barn. Let me know!

  16. Peter says:

    Ask Peter!

  17. E. says:

I’m in Berlin in the end of Nov / early Dec. If it isn’t too expensive to get up to Sweden, then see you in hitler’s barn!!!!!

  18. survive says:

anyone who doesn’t love this should quit punk rock.

  19. Tom says:

Why is old sweden punk so raw and well…so punk rock sounding. So great! As compared to other countries most of the Swedish punk bands were way better in this period (1977-1981). Even when I hear PF Commando I think they had hardcore down before it became popular in the US. And when I see pics of the actual members many times they look quite normal with sometimes even long bangs and hair and stuff and bellbottoms. Well I can’t deny the mainstream trend at the time but the music is maybe too punk rock for the image. Just great! -Tom

  20. Tom says:

Also SKAMS 7EP is killer! You ought to post the other songs. To me that band almost sounds like oi, with maybe some Sham 69 influence or something but with a harder street punk edge. I have only crappy versions from KBD 22 (?).

  21. Petter says:

barn=child(ren) in swedish, so its not a barn in the countryside. Or is this just “internhumor”?

  22. The Flakes // Drummer says:

    intern et humour Petter ;)

  23. Borat says:

Hitler lifed in barn in Kazhakstan!

  24. The Flakes // Drummer says:

Hitler had a barn where he hide his garn.

  25. Borat says:

    This gives me rövsvett!!!!!!

  26. discoscheissser says:

more Swe-genuis from 78′..primitive,catchy..just a shame these guys didnt make a full LP of stuff..she sure has nice clogs too..thanks agaion for the ripper!

  27. Chata Ortega says:

Only Judas Priest can stand up to this. But they won’t. One of Swedens best bands really, I like all of their 7″ers.

  28. Chata Ortega says:

Only Judas Priest can stand up to this. But they won’t. One of Swedens best punk bands really, I like all of their singles.

  29. Chata Ortega says:

Only Judas Priest can stand up to this. But they won’t. This is punk rock for clogs and big plastic eye-glasses.

  30. Chata Ortega says:

And the third time I got down what I really wanted to say. But this way you get more of my feelings about swedish youth cultural offerings from the 70’s. Aren’t you the lucky ones?! Now it’s time to go to bed. Sorry about the extra posts!(A mechanical/technical misfortune. And to think I’ve worked at NASA. Well I was a janitor there, but anyway…)

  31. Rasmus says:

Did an official compilation LP with their stuff ever come out? Or, what are the band members into today? Does anyone know about more songs recorded than those on the 7″s??

  32. Rasmus says:

Well, found out by myself. Silly me. Sorry for bein’ an idiot.
