Plastic Idols - I.U.D. 7″
November 9th, 2006 at 11:05 am
I first heard this at Strange Reaction. And liked it. But it wasn’t until my new found killer shreds farming in Hitlers barn master of good evil Erich/Good Bad Music uploaded the Texas compilation Are We Too Late For The Trend that I realised that I loved this band. Badly.
The track on the aforementioned comp may be the best Plastic Idols track I’ve heard so far but this comes in close second place. In the band we have no other then the famous Al K.Trazz on vocals and guitar! First release out of two. The second effort coming up shortly. Oh yeah they’re from Texas. Yiha!
DEATH TO FALSE BLOGS!!!!! LONG LIVE THE PAST!!! HATE THE PRESENT!!!

November 10th, 2006 at 7:27 am
I´m not comparing my music to stuff post here ,of course there´s no comparation possible,we´re from 2004,stuff here it´s from early 70´s.
I was not comparing,i was just telling Peter to have a listen, nothing else.
It seems you have some problems with that,i know i should tell him by private e-mail,but i´ve found no e-mail from this blog here, and ,ok if you don´t like us good for you,i don´t expect everybody to like us.
November 10th, 2006 at 7:30 am

I bought a copy of this 7″ about 8 years ago from some record store in Texas. He said he knew one of the band members of the Plastic Idols and according to him that band member is the guy on the front of the sleeve with his girlfriend who were apparently really shopping for wedding rings. Sorry, just some nerdy facts and I have nothing flashy to say like everyone else right now in the Comments.
November 12th, 2006 at 4:13 am
ha ha thanks alot Tony!! I love nerdy facst like that. are they still married ;)?
November 12th, 2006 at 5:00 am
Nerdy facts is the shit!
November 13th, 2006 at 6:52 am
Well, I don’t know if they’re still married but if they used an I.U.D. then they might not have any kids! Har har Or maybe they had twins and one is an Uncircumsized Twin! Double har har. I can hear people booing me off the stage and throwing rotten fruit at me right about now… I like both Plastic Idols 7″s, the “Einstein Experience” EP is probably my favorite out of the two since they learned how to play their instruments better on that record. But the guitar sound on “I.U.D.” is quite charming.
November 16th, 2007 at 4:29 pm
I was the bass player in this band; it’s fun finding comments on this stuff after so long. A correction, though: the couple on the cover were friends of ours, neither of them actually in the band. FYI: Hot Box Review has just released a compilation CD with both 45’s, the cut from “Are We Too Late For The Trend?” and a bunch of demos and live stuff from ‘78-80 (20 tracks in all). And if you guys have an email addy for Johnny Cat who left a comment in the other Einstein Experience thread, it would be great if you could pass it along to me so I can get him some copies of the CD. Thanks!

Hey Bill John Harris ( Johnny Cat )is now a member of Hooterock a rockabilly band based in Austin. I don’t think these guys should be having Plastic Idols mp3 free and downloadable . Don’t you agree? They got to change it to a 1 minute clip. I going to be pissed if they don’t.
Bob Bailey
November 20th, 2007 at 2:52 am
Please change your mp3 format and don’t allow our Plastic Idol Songs to be copied . Only allow 1 minute clip sample . I will be checking up on you.
If they want the CD they can buy it at Hotbox Review.com
Thank you and Rock on
Bob Bailey

Ok, Bob and Bill should I remove the songs or keep them? I won’t be uploading 1 minute clips.
