This is a repost from April the 21th 2006. Added more scans, Rocket Me Home and a new rip of Comin’ From Behind in 192kbps.
It’s fun to post unknown bands who’ve put out one great 7inch and then dissapeared into the unknown. But it’s a bummer when you want to find some sort of info to get the information part here a bit beefy. So any old american dude with plenty of Budweisers under his belt is welcome to add his/hers bits and pieces about The Visitors. I know they where from New York. This puppy was never released with sleeve.

id never heard this one before. nice one!!! youre a good man, the flakes!
Thank you Dylan! Comin.. is an awesome track that gets a lots of rotation here right now. Too bad the a-side sucks so hard.
This is simply awful. There are literally 1000 obscure 45s from the US better than this.
ha ha this one rules Brian!
IVE HEARD BETTER
MUCH BETTER
MUCH MUCH BETTER
IN FACT THE VOCAL ARE THE WORST IVE EVER HEARD !
Ha ha ha :D! Let it all out! I love those strong reactions. The vocals rule in my world. Totaly punk and annoying.
.i agree that even a negative reaction is a good reaction. if you find you resent something obnoxious, it’s at least getting it’s job done. and yet, hypocritically, i despise most if not all modern popular music standards without excuse or compromise. i like the b side’s vocals as well here. to me, weak clapping percussives always helps too. i think it’s the attempt i adore.
comin from behind is awesome! thanks for the repost.
The Visitors were from Brooklyn–Bay Ridge, I think. When I was growing up, their logo was stenciled on the base of a streetlight on my corner. Never knew who they were until about a year ago!
the anoying vocals is what will make you remember this one. I like it.
Annoying vocals? Fuck shit, duder! Betcha all think that BLANK GENERATION by RICHARD HELL is a classic, don’t y’use?
Same goddamn thing here, buttplug. I love.
try hearing The Visitors from australia….deniz tek and others from radio birdman (GOD) are in it….fucking great!
The Visitors were indeed from NYC. My band, The Metros, played on the same bill with them a few times at Club 57 and probably Max’s Kansas City. I still have some of the flyers including a New Years Eve Show (1978-79) at Club 57.
We always enjoyed playing with The Visitors. They were cool guys and had a song entitled “Subway Rider.” We loved the song so much that The Metros rehearsals would often end with us doing a rendition of it–just for kicks. I believe to song was just two chords and made for an easy jam when we could do some amazing and/or terrible things to it—the true sign of a great song.
