Now you don’t need to spend big bucks on one of them old rarities cause Arifix Records have done a really great reissue of this semi-classic. And by the way it’s not worth the big bucks because let’s be serious Kill The Hostages is good but not great. Now I meant the music. The lyrics on the other hand is something else. While USA was moaning about the hostage sitation in Iran(in 1980) Benedict came with a quick, simple and clean solution to just kill ‘em. This was the beginning of the Reagan era so you can guess the kind of controversy this stirred up. Just as controversial as these emo bands today singing about broken love and a depressing life or hmm… maybe not.

Abgrey Somoans had an unreleased tune called somehting similar, “Execute the Hostages”
This is my idea of a godamn KBD record!!!!!!
my mommy sed u name is bad.
was the “rock against racism” logo on the back a joke?
y does it matter!!
No. The “Rock Against Racism” logo was not a joke. The band’s singer (and founder) helped run the Pomona, California branch of Rock Against Racism when he started the band. He asked them if he could put the logo on the record and they consented. He was, and still is, very politically active.
One of their members is a big fat hippy who lives in New York City now. He made a video for their song “Death Penalty for Pot”.
It can be found here:

Its a good laugh, if anything else.
perhaps the greatest work of art of the twentieth century.
i gess
That “big fat hippy” in the Death Penalty For Pot video was/is actually Aron Kay, aka The PieMan. He was never a member of the band.
that was me in the video”death penalty for pot” for sure…
i have known the ban’s singer for almost 40 years
pretty funny that Arnolds our governer here in California.
A timeless gem, still awesome after 30 years.
