FDS - Paranoia E.P. 7″

Another one of those “One of the best swedish punk records ever”. Born in the same suburb of Stockholm as Ebba Gron: Ragsved. Most of the Stockholm bands where of course known in most parts of Sweden but it wasn’t until the TV Eye // Drummer introduced me to them a couple of years ago that I heard and heard about them for the first time.
If the first track Arabien would’ve been released today they would’ve easily ended up on some militant muslims death list. It’s just an ordinary anti religion song though Islam is used as the subject and not Christianity as in the majority of punk rock songs.
Luckily for the non swedes here’s a page in english about FDS plus an unreleased track:

I’d love to know the lyrics to Arabien. Then I’ll send a copy to every radio station in Malmo.

something like “I love going to the mosques” in the first line? I don’t know and I don’t care. Decent rocker, btw. I really wonder what’s in the water, in Sweden.

Either the water or the tiny meatballs.

Beskyddarglädje is GREAT so is Paranoia, the rest is above average (but some of the slower parts is NOT good…). Downloaded the “Disco” song from their homepage as well and that one is not good. I guess its like with most punkbands, they are better when they havent learned to play that good and are young(er) (loud and snotty).

Gött!!
Another listigt lutad classic!
Sold this one years ago so I’m downloading it right away. “Arabien” och “Kemisk lycka” were my faves when it was released but the whole EP is fucking awesome, even now more than 25 years later.
Another GREAT post, dude!

Close Erich but it’s “I’m going to the mosque everyday.”
