Somebody Help Me is the same version as on the Charred Remains compilation tape posted some months ago. But of course it sounds way better on vinyl. I think this is the best Toxic Reasons 7inch coupled with God Bless America. LP wise they never out did the master piece Kill By Remote Control posted by Eric.

Their debut Independence is good but dosen’t hold up in the long run. Both the tracks on here can also be heard on Independence and togheter with Mercenary and Drunk And Disorderly it’s the best bunch. Talking about Drunk And Disorderly I’m pretty hung over today so I better stop.

A lovely 7″! I also like the CLASH-ish “Ghost Town” 7″, “Independence” (great vokills!) and the HC-iristic 3rd one, but yeah, “Kill by Remote Control” impresses me the most of the bunch. Excellent post! You’re getting back at HC, I see. I do support that.

This is a hell of a lot better than the last entry. Good crashing guitars, tight drums and a song about nazis. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD times.

  3. Karl Bakla says:

Toxic Reasons, so good! I wish I still had that old Target Video that had them on it

  4. A song about nazis, ha ha ha, like every second KBD/Bloodstains band then. I think Killed By Remote Control is one of the best US LPs ever. SxE is neither here nor there.

The lovely powerpop is coming sooner then you’ll hope Eric. There where some HC shit in the pipe so I just had to get rid of it ho ho ho.

  6. Erich says:

I love it when you get rid of stuff in your pipe, sweetie.

  7. The Flakes // Drummer says:

I’ll do anything to clean my boy cunt for you daddy :).

Uhhh…I love this record, love this band. I am not too sure if I want to get in the middle of this love triangle. Pip pip cheerio.

  11. Erich says:

But only you coming in the middle would actually make it a triangle!

  12. roman says:

this is a good one, but it can`t compare with “ghost town” 7″, which is absolutely fantastic. catchy and melodic, but with a fair dose of rawness, so it doesn`t sound wimpy. “mercenary” and “drunk and disorderly” are grrrreat songs as well – it has a lot to do with cool vokills that erich mentioned…

  13. SEW says:

    No more power poop, please

  14. Jay Thurston says:

I see there are plenty of fans of the powerpop underground! Makes me want to put on my dancin” shoes and boogie like there’s no tomorrow!

These guys either never stopped playing or got back together with the newfound popularity of 80s hardcore. I caught their set at the 30 Years of Punk show in Chicago last year and was completely blown away. For old dudes, they still rip; they’re tight and haven’t slowed down a bit. They blew the Effigies off the fuckin’ stage!

  16. The Flakes // Drummer says:

I threw on Jellyfish classic Spilt Milk while driving down to Linkoping today. As always I was blown away and it got me on the right mood for posting some great power poop.

  17. Erich says:

Do it, as long as it’s GREAT powerpoop.

  18. Jay Thurston says:

Hey Flakes drummer…isn’t it time to put on some more tunes??? Jesus Christ already.

  19. Anonymous says:

Fuckin’ pussies. They sold this shit to the school nerds.

  20. The Flakes // Drummer says:

Yeah it’s time to post some more stuff. I have loads of stuff uploaded I just need the time to write some shitty text to it. Oh my I hate words. They suck.

  21. Erich says:

Just use the following words and it makes a perfect punk text: punk fuck suck shit hate essential classic killer very rare kbd must have asshole.

Does anybody remember a compilation record called “Drunk and Disorderly”. It had great songs on it one of them was called “Who drank all my beer” and some other really great songs.
I’ve never been able to find this album…maybe I have the wrong album name. Does this sound familiar with anyone? Any info would be bloody great.

  23. Mik says:
