Koskenkorva, knifes, sauna, pimples, lakes, forests and a strange and harsh language pretty much sums up Finland/Soumi to me plus a couple of great punk and hardcore bands. Here’s the debut from Lama. I’ve posted their second and third releases a long time ago. Guess they need to be reposted.
I’ve been to the twin cities Saint Paul/Minneapolis in Minnesota for a week and I’m pretty fucked up now. Need some rest. Just want to post something so you guys and girls don’t go nuts.

The best finnish band ever, especially their 3rd EP from 1981. I feel the same vibration like during hearing “Six Pack” EP by BLACK FLAG…

Hi from Finland!
The untitled third track is called “Raha” (”Money”).
Lama is the only HC band I’m able to listen to, somehow their four 7-inchers and their album (naturally re-released on cd) have a certain freshness I’m not able to find in other bands of the like.

Really really good stuff!
And since I’m an old Hanoi Rocks collector these Johanna-labels are pure poetry for my eyes.

One of thee classic Finnish punk bands. Actually, change that to one of thee classic punk bands, never mind just Finnish! If ya can, try to get their recently-released live LP on Combat Rock Industry: great sound & a brilliant set. Suomi HC rules!!!

Three exceptional singles posted here, short songs, tight rythmn section and manic distorted barre chording, is there a fourth 45? cant understand a word of the vocals; but this is essential stuff.

Damn, what a great single. I love the guitar bridge in “Bussi”, it sounds so out of place. The whole record has such a great rock n roll attitude behind it, though.
Enjoy your stay in the Midwest. At least you came before winter hit!

What a great band! Does anyone have any info on the reissue on cd?

The fourth 45 was “Ajatuksen loppu” (”End of the Thought”, released in 1983. There is a compilation, “Eikä mikään muuttunut” aka “Ja mikään ei muuttunut” (”And Nothing Changed”) that has all the singles, and another CD that has their eponymous album. They were released in 1992 and 1994 respectively, at least the “Lama” CD saw a remastered version in 2005. Try Epe’s Music Store or Stupido Records/Stupido Shop, they have CD’s in stock. And yes, don’t forget their new “Tavastia” live album, from the 1993 reunion gig!
