Wow! Another re-post from May the 9th 2006. The reason to all these reposts is that I’m trying out my new gear and compare it to the old ones. Added more scans and new rips.

Stry Terraries characteristic voice is one of Swedens best. You recognise him from Kriminella Gitarrer. Here his band is going into a more moody dark direction that became more evident in the band after this: Garbochock. “Anna Greta…” have become a swedish punk rock classic. Hmm is their a none swedish classic released pre 1980? Maybe not. Can’t think of anyone right now. I “shoulnd’t” like the b-side since it’s a mid tempo quite long song but it manage to get a grip on me cause of the catchy keyboard.

This is a re-post from April the 17th 2006. Added more scans, new rips and Goin’ Steady.

Time for some powerpop. A band I once again know nothing about. I heard it for the first time at www.lowdownkids.com and just became madly obssesed by tracking down a copy of this wonderful baby. (Obsolete information: Couldn’t find it on any comps but after a couple of months I found a copy and it turned down to be on white vinyl. Anyone seen another of these? I though only a black vinyl version existed.) Anyway I think Steve at Low Down Kids know more about the Producers. On many japanese collectors want list. And for a good reason.

This is a re-post from July the 26th 2006. Added more scans, new rips and Star Struck.

Once again I have to thank the worlds best expert on 70’s porn and obscure 70’s punk from the UK: Steve/Low Down Kids for revealing the Jakpak on the famous LDK boot series(rest in peace). AWESOME punk/powerpop at it’s finest. James at Worthless Trash also posted this in his first redesigned podcast. Check out his new killer concept at www.worthless-trash.blogspot.com.

So Steve, what is there to know about Jakpak? I couldn’t find anything on this thing we call the World Wide Web.

manicdepressors_tape_a.jpgmanicdepressors_tape_b.jpg

Inspired by Good Bad Erich’s recent posts of a bunch of tapes I decided to jump the bandwagon.

From whom and when I got this tape I can’t exactly recall. Mid to early 80’s for sure. And from someone in Canada without a doubt. This tape has been very dear to me ever since. Too bad I didn’t make a straight copy of it back then. As you can hear it have been played quiet a lot and on top of that the recording is very low fi which of course only makes it better. Here’s a good recipe to make HC sound great: add chainsaw guitars, machine gun drums and some decent song writing. That’s what Manic Depressors did and as you can hear it worked great. Please if you know anything about this band fill us in.

GBG Sound – Bjorn Borg 7″

gbgsound_bjorn_label_a.jpggbgsound_bjorn_label_b.jpg

This is a re-post from March the 23rd 2006. The first record we posted here actually. Added more scans and a new rip.

Bjorn Borg! You haven’t made a descent thing in your life! A somewhat swenglish translation of the famous chorus that I was huming on a lot as a kid. It felt so good cause I generally hated all kind of sports. GBG Sound or Göteborg Sound was of course from Gothenburg. Compared to bands in Stockholm the Gothenburg bands had more of a “progg” feeling and weren’t so punk in their outfits. No studs, leather jackets or mohawks.

The Bjorn Borg 7″ was a self released one sided ditty pressed in 200 copies. No sleeve just the ugly face of Bjorn on the label. Now download.
