Though punk is dead powerpop is alive. One of my most beloved pop records is the only released as demo record by the mysterious Zoot Alors. Former member, Paul Sneap, had a site up some years ago with some demos. Too bad I didn’t download it. I got in contact with him to ask for other stuff but of course there wasn’t any according to Paul.
So pull down your Dis-records in a little box. Put on the skinny tie. The war ain’t coming today. And listen carefully to what Zoot has to tell you. Oh, yeah I got an extra copy to trade/sell in case anyones interested.

I do wholeheartedly agree with the B side…It is a crime. This is horrible pop music. Please, do not send me a postcard…thanks.

This one did come out as a stock copy, just about. The demos seem to be a little more common. Also, the mix is slightly different on the stock copy and is either noticeably BETTER or noticeably NOT QUITE AS GOOD: I can never remember which is which.
I agree that some of the unreleased tracks which were on Paul’s website were pretty good! Especially “Is It True” and “Be The One”, which both sound like The Monkees.
