i’ve never heard of these guys before.. but i like what i hear! thanks for the recommendation :)
These guys were one of about 4 or 5 bands that got 10 inch EP’s released on US Columbia/Epic, a marketing approach that didn’t really pan out. The producer on the A side, Tommy Erdelyi, is, of course, Tommy Ramone, the Ramones’ original drummer.
Thanks Hazy, forgotten to mention the Ramones connection.
Oh, a major label release. :-( I won’t download this.
Oh great, the Continentals…is that Wattie singing???
I’m an on-and-off-again Peter fan. This write up…is the bees knees.
Oh, and I heard Piano! Now that’s punk…or powerpop…or…yeah.
It’s yeah.
Was this issued without a pic sleeve? HA!
HA HA HA HA LOL :D!
Great stuff. Everyone needs some fagrock once in awhile.
lol erich
i dont have the 45 but have the 10 inch cbs release…found it, never heard of the band fuckin dig modern rock pop sound…
Hi, picked this up the other day. Takes me back to college days.
Anyone know who were The Continentals. In AMG and other sites, they get mixed up with the 50’s do-wop group of the same name. best, stephanie
Used to have the 10″. If you could find their track “Walking Tall”, that’d be the pup’s huevos.
