When I do a search for "kbd records" using firefox, one of the suggestions is Bad Brains and the other is this record. Anyway, this is really insane one, my first taste right here and I will make sure to check out dude's other stuff...

Jim is indeed still at it. As Carole said, he has released many other cd's, and is currently working a new band to get out and perform some of his new tunes and some of the classics. I am proud to be the bass player in that band. Jim is still rocking and still has something to say. Do yourself a favor and pick up a few of his cd's. You'll thank me later.

JIM sent me a few then-new tapes when he was in Seattle ,professionaly made MC´s and the weirdness of back-when you could hear out definitely on these releass aswell !!!
The later two albums of 1983 and 1985 are good in their own way,all his cool singles,esp.the notorious "Police State" debut single, show his soft spot for homemade weird-electronics on the B-side (too bad I traded it away). The original 1st 1978 "VOTM" album Jim could not tell me what the pressing-size was (or I can not recall) but along with DEBRIS I rate it as the candidate for the Proto-Punk (ok,C.D. 1st LP was in 1978) Hall of American LO-FI fame.
Were all originals of the 1st LP blank white jackets with a sheet stuck to it (mine is so creased,worn-out,and quite pale you would not touch it...)
Jim Jacobi has a comprehensive website I checked out 1,5 years ago. Nebraska-Punk rules,haha (Don´t forget the 8-song 7"ep of the STENCH BAND of 1971, Zappaesque(and Capt.Beefheart jamming in a garage)stuff #:=)~
On that note:
WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO _MIKE GARBER_ in OMAHA(?) He had a record-store there ca.7-8 years ago ...
