Kalashnikov – S/T E.P. 7″

Well you know vacation and stuff have kept me away from posting stuff. So it’s time to spoil you all with two posts in a day. Schluters kabinet was on the P.E.A.C.E. comp. but I think it’s the weakest of the three tracks. Sure if you like some post punk that’s not too interesting. But wait isn’t it Odelaeg og haerg that’s on the P.E.A.C.E. comp but they got the wrong title? Anyway Odelaeg… and Laederhalse makes this E.P. a must in my opinion. While googling I found a review in MRR #15 done by Jeff Bale: http://www.operationphoenixrecords.com/mrrissue15_15MusicReviewsandTheEnd.pdf reading these short reviews makes me think that the shit I write for the posts here ain’t that bad. Up the punx!

anyone know where to find their lp subversion in mp3 form?

  3. You somehow mis-linked the songs, Peter … Maybe that’s why you didn’t like Schlueters Kabinett (which is actually by far the best song on this 7″). ;-)

I must´ve been tired when I ripped this. The songs have been mixed up :). But Erich Laederhalse is the best song. Just had to tell you ;).

Uffff! For a moment I was completely confused with my memory… “Schluters Kabinet” wasn’t sounding as I remembered it back in the 80’s… Nice to hear it again!

Schulters Kabinet was one of my favorite songs off that International P.E.A.C.E. comp, and I kept an eye out for many years for actual records by Kalashnikov. Even in NYC back in the days of Second Coming, Bleecker Bob’s, 99X, and the CBGBs record shop all still existing — I never found any. So if someone does have an mp3 rip of the Subversion LP, I would also love to know about it. I’d love it even more if someone were to legally re-issue it.

Kalashnikov – Subversion lp here: http://rat-shit-sandwich.blogspot.com/2009/01/kalashnikov-subversion-85.html

There’s also Bloodstains Across Denmark and Pære Punk comps there too…

I think I agree with Erich this time, but really every song is nearly as tasty as a spicy meatball.
