V/A – Live pa musikverket E.P. 7″

This untitled live ep was the first release on the Stranded label and one of the few releases worth looking for on that label, no matter what other collectors might tell you. Anyway, this ep features one of the best bands ever that never got to do a record of their own while they were around. Yes, of course I’m talking about Incest Brothers! They were on the Bakverk 80 split LP with KSMB and Travolta Kids and delivered amazing songs there as well as they do on this compilation. They did reunite and released a mini LP, but that wasn’t until 1984 and as it’s title points out, it was (at least) 3 years too late.

Travolta Kids on the other hand was one of the major players during these years, and appears twice on this ep as Stalin Boys are the kids in disguise… right? Correct me if I’m wrong here, but I’m pretty sure this is one of the 2 monikers they used apart from Travolta Kids as they released a 7″ as Gigolos as well.

I’m listening to the Ruts right now which makes it hard to write about another record, but thought I should let you know that this will be my last post for about a month as I’ll be traveling around the US the next couple of weeks and therefor unable to post anything here. I’ll be back with great records from acts as Bugs, PF Commando, Perverts, Reklamation, Kindergarten, Epidemi, TBC, Anti-Avans, N-Liners, Badboll, Knugens Haf, Livin’ Sacrifice etcetera as well as a couple of non Swedish bands, believe it or not…

PF Commando should have been featured on this record. They were there and they played, but unfortunately something went wrong.
