Cyklon B - Kris/ En grogg till 7″

Two amazing tracks with loads of fuck you attitude and more venom in the lyrics than a Death Adder makes this a killer among killers. The singer sounds like a pissed off member from the steel union and the lyrics to the second verse in Kris is as funny as they are clever. The heroes from the house of parliament has lost all their luster and are occupied with their gonorrheas for sure!
I guess these guys were a bit older and had some kind of musical background as they got the same kind of gubbgung (old man’s swing) as Goteborg Sound and knew how to cover The Who without sounding like they just stole their instruments and were trying to figure out how to make them work. The new lyrics takes the song to new dimensions as we all want to know how much the singer has to drink to be able to stand his girl friend. I think this is one of the better Who covers ever, even if KSMB’s version of My generation, Torbjorns horor, is even more tongue in cheek.

If people knew swedish they would´ve appreciate this a lot more. I mean with lines like: Hjältarna i riksdagshuset har misst all sin glans. Missat sin chans har inget att ge. Upptagna av sin egen gonnore. Brilliant!

300 copies made for those of you who likes to keep track of unnecessary details like pressing quantity etc…

I can’t believe it’s just the two of us who had something to say about this masterpiece! I guess most people are occupied with their gonorrhea and therefor don’t get records as good as this one.

..its not just the two of you..
..it sounds like they were playing prog before punk came along (perhaps like GBG Sound ?)..but its top raw, underbudget, understated and total swe 79′genius again.. sounds to me like they are about to bust out and rip it up into Mass Media style agression..The Who cover, despite being entertaining - is a waste of time if they could write raw originals like the A side..Anyone have any demos/live tapes/r’sals ?

Tack! About time that at least one more person understood the greatness of this record!

Some of the members formed Wattson who released a 7″ in 1981 (I think) called Radiobil/ Lär dig slåss but that’s not really my cup of powerpop.
