How is it even possible that these youngsters managed to write such a dreadful piece of shit as Goodbye when they were capable of writing killers as Sick Society? And what the hell were they thinking of when they paired them together on the same 7 inch? And which of the songs did they play on the TV show that gave them their record deal? With a name like Hangover I assume that they played Sick society, but if that was the song the label thought could be a hit then why did they write Goodbye? A mystery worth to investigate by none less then Scooby Doo for sure. Scooby Doo & the horrible a-side maybe, or Scooby Doo & the mysterious punk song? I’m sure it would’ve made a great comic and introduced as many new kids to punk as the Chipmunk punk album.
Hangover did a second shitty 7″ in 1979 before they evolved into powerpoppers Pictures who did the great mod stomper Kicks & tips in 1981.

Sick Society=sick song. AWESOME!
Sick Society = total garbage. But the a-side rules! This song perfectly stands for Sweden itself. This is Sweden to me – GREAT song. If they only had left off the b-side. Yikes!
Erich, is right. The A side is one smoking tune that sends those shivers down my spine. The B side is just your typical half assed punk rock song that has been done before. Long live the A side!!! Hahahaha.
Woopsy daisy, my mistake about which song kicks ass. Thanks Jay and Eric for pointing out the qualities of Goodbye for me. I just tool a piece of sandpaper and erased Sick society from my copy. No more half assed punk rock for me, that’s for sure;)
Well done Martin :-D
I am proud of you Martin! Can’t beat em, join em. I hear Abba is going to do a cover of “Goodbye”??? Tell me it’s true…please.
If you want, I could make the comic of that haha
Make the comic…
This is the most confusing post ever!
What’s so confusing about it?
Well, Martin – the two songs posted here are in stark contrast to each other- then there is the comments section. I have never seen such a gulf between the original post and what the listeners said about it!
