Would love to see the BUGS-demo posted here as well Btw ;-D
It is actually better than this EP. But I still wanna say that songs like “Religion” and “Döda döda” DID sound much better and more raw in the BUGS live-set. It´s a really wimpy production on this EP! I mean – where are the raw chainsaw-guitars from the Bloody Mess EP?! I´ve witnessed some great BUGS-concerts in my time ;-)

My dear old friends Bobo & Råkan from Valbo. We had a band shortly after this called “Stop” (shitty name, I know). We made a 2 song demo at the Hille/Mora Trask-studio which never saw an official release though.
This is nostalgia for me. Had a hard time with the song “Bögen” though, since a very close relative came out of the closet around 1981 ;-P and I didn´t have a problem with the gay-people before that either. It was nothing “strange” with being officially anti-gay in Valbo, Sweden at that time though. “Everybody” were. It´s a really small “red-neck” village and everybody were finding gayness an abomination there back then. Even the otherwise “openminded” punks. Like the rastafaris in Jamaica still today or something.

You can say early L.A. punk from 77-79 was pretty much bi-sexual with Darby Crash from the Germs, Rick Wilder from the Mau Maus and many of the punks showed up at the Masque were bi-sexual and then it all changed in 1980 when the high school and college jocks became punks and started shit at the clubs because they thought the craziness with the punk scene meant beat people up
