Anti Social – S/T 7″

Labels says 1978 but that’s cause this is a boot. Doubt I’ll ever find an original of this one. A shame since it’s too damned great. Here’s where Mario Pancieras excellent book 45 Revolutions comes in handy: “…declaring themselves as “the most violent rock group in the world”” was one attempt to outdo the Sex Pistols and to create a scandal the “…offered 15,000 pounds “to any person willing to commit suicide in public” during one of their live shows.”.

Some other interesting facts is that Lucy Nation(Gabriella Fern), who once was in the band as a bass player, son became a bit more famous when he founded Napalm Death and later joined acts like Head of David, Godflesh, Jesu and Final. ND should’ve honored Lucy buy doing covers of these monstrous punk tracks. Maybe they did?

Don’t really no what to say about this one??? Hmmm…I suppose it is something I can live without.

  2. Hmm, the first couple seconds I thought, oh, good old Skrewdriver worshipping here, but then it quickly became a drag.

I’m eagerly waiting for your Chronic Sick post, KPD. The rips around so far are sucky sucky and my tapes worn out.

  3. The Flakes // Drummer says:

Jay and Erich! You need to give it another spin. This kills!

  4. Senap says:

    Wow!
I have a clip somewhere from a Lektyr or FIBban (yes all IKEA-mongoloids know ’bout these mags)with an article about this band. Never heard it until now and that’s a fucking shame but it’s a bleeding killer Peter! According to what I read about them then I thought that they didn’t know how to play and sought for their 15 mins by having that image. A 100 TT-hanks for taking this out of the CLOSET! (wink wink)

  5. It’s pretty OK, and way better than I expected it to be when I saw the name of em. My first reaction was OI! OI! OI!

  6. Jay Thurston says:

It is not very interesting…rather dull. I tried again. While we are on the topic of “teachers”, how about putting up some Van Halen “Hot for Teacher?” Hahaha.

  7. Jay Thurston says:

I have been noticing that every time you post a fucking record, someone puts a copy on EBAY and it sells very well. What the fuck??? I only purchased two things on EBAY…and they were cheap CD’s…how can people afford paying 400 dollars for a fucking boring record anyways???

  8. The Flakes // Drummer says:

400 dollars for this master piece is “cheap”.

  9. Jay Thurston says:

I don’t think so…but, if someone else thinks so, that is cool. I am sure it will go up to around 1,000 dollars????

  10. The Flakes // Drummer says:

Yeah probably if not higher. 100 copies. Though to find.

  11. Steve says:

I think this is good. But I also like the Headache “cant stand still” 7″ too so what do I know? Thanks for posting this!

  12. Martin says:

Hey Steve, I have Headache’s “Can’t stand still” in my pile of records to post, so you’re not alone;)

  13. Jay Thurston says:

Yeah, Headache’s “Can’t Stand Still” sounds good…then I can find it on Ebay for around 1 million dollars!!! Hooray!!

  14. Steve says:

I wouldn’t pay a penny more than half a mill for the Headache 7″. Hehe.

  15. behjan says:

Tastes are as usually different but I have the feeling that if this one was known as a common record,it would be a “just another 70s Punk record from UK” and people would not rave so much about it (in opposite, with those two REVENGE singles from UK, the hysteria is justified IMO)
So I see the ANTISOCIAL more of an UK-Punk artefact of the “meat and potatoe” variation rather than a
devastating Punk-Slasher (like the SURGEONS a million times better!)

  16. The Flakes // Drummer says:

And I feel just the opposite when it comes to Revenge and Surgeons(highly overrated in my opinion) :).

  17. Jay Thurston says:

Anyone have 1,000 dollars I can borrow??? I need to buy the Endtables 7″ on EBAY. I promise I will pay you back sometime in the future. :)

  18. The Flakes // Drummer says:

Great seller. Rare record but just one decent track on that one in my opinion. Had it but wasn’t worth to keep.

  19. Jay Thurston says:

    Endtables were fantastic!!!

  20. CORPUS77@FSMAIL.NET says:
