The Eat - Scattered Wahoo Action Cassette
October 9th, 2008 at 10:45 am
Haven´t compared the original tape to the recent vinyl reissue. I just hope this sounds a bit more thrilling. It´s The Eat. And it´s a damngood tape that should´ve been a semi classic if it was released on vinyl back in ´82. Did they ever try to get any labels to release it? 14 tracks and 12 of them going from really good to great. Imagine they had a pretty tuff period here as HC was about to take over and all. But fuck HC let´s punk!

I have never really liked this band. I have tried, but they just seem to fall short. Thanks for sharing.

This is brilliant stuff. I’m not sure why but it sort of reminds me of the Young Canadians.

Hey all- thanks for posting this tape- it is nice to upgrade from my lesser quality “tape of a tape of a…” from the olden days of cassette tape trading. One of these days I’ll update my blog, too much shit going on lately- new job, etc. I have like 5 pending blog posts in my head, I just need to put them into novel-length format (ha ha)

New job Tony? So you’re no longer a punk business manager?
REALLY looking forward to some new posts from ya :)!
