Here’s the second EP from Sweden’s laziest punx, The Pinheads. It took them a few years to follow up their debut 7″, but at least they managed to write at least two new songs, switch from Swedish to English and record a feedback driven live version of Neat, neat, neat before they hit the studio again. Peter, your tinnitus will love their cover version!
Please look is a sweet love song about a poor sod who can’t get any attention from the girl he loves, despite his stalking skills. Thankfully he’s got a plan of how to get her attention. All in all a very nice story with a happy ending. I wanna be free takes place before 6 PM for sure as the singer is walking around in a pair of brown shoes, which no one with class and manners would do after dark. And manners have always had a huge impact on Swedish punx, as you can see on these nicely dressed and clean-cut gentlemen. They would never break the rules of etiquettes, that’s for sure.
I’m sorry if I may appear a bit impolite and rude, but I don’t have enough time to write anything else as I have a huge dinner party to plan for tonight. Ta ta.

I can’t stand sappy love songs, therefore the A side, to me, is terrible. I love the original version of “I wanna be free”, their version lies flat. As for Neat, Neat, Neat…boring. Nice try, but no cigar. Thanks
Jay,
who’s done the original version of I wanna be free? I had no idea it was a cover, but now I wanna hear the original version of course.
THE RINGS, Martin, THE RINGS. Blows this covert outta water. This 7″ here is so washed up ….. hell.
Neve’ ‘eard ov ’em to be honest. Is their version posted somewhere.
I guess the Pinheads were so lazy that they only managed to write one song for this ep then, if Please Look is an original…
OK, I found it on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xr1BD7dqHG4 for others who are as uneducated as me).
Didn’t know Twink was in another band after Pink Fairies and Pretty Things. The Things were better with the ultimate drummer Viv Prince than Twink thou.
I’ll do my homework better from now on, I promise. And I’ll try to post something both Jay and Erich likes.
Martin…you did a nice thing by posting this record. I had never heard it before and I now know that I never want to hear it again. Thanks.
You’re more than welcome Jay. I’m glad I helped you to not spend your savings on this record.
Thanks again!!!
First track is horrible! I wanna be free is a quiet decent nice sloppy cover. Neat, neat, neat well who needed a cover of an already perfect song?
the Rings version is superior
My comment is superior.
Speaking of the RINGS here :
has anyone heard the Swiss JACK AND THE RIPPERS remake of THE RINGS 7″s b-side song “Automobile” on one of their early demo´s ,that unfortunately did not appear on any of their posthumous records…
Too bad as it´s a good remake I think!
You just can’t trust band members who wear their own t-shirts. It is a seriously bad move that seems to be common with HM groups.
