A band of extremes for me, LIFE by ATV has to be one of my fav punk songs of all time. But the album Vibing Up The Senile Man Part One (1978) is awful to the point of being embarrassing – they tried to go all arty and they made total fools of themselves. Some punk bands did slow arty experimental tracks a few years into their careers, and it somehow worked – but not ATV!
The above is a fantastic single for 1977 – at that point they were about a year or 18 mnths. ahead of their time I think. They really had something going for a short time – shame they threw it all away.

I’ve got an Action Time Vision t-shirt. I wear it around town. I got stopped by a an old punky type. He said it was the coolest shirt he’d ever seen. He was very pissed. Just thought I’d share that with you.

One of those band I’ve only read about. Good to finally hear them. Well, I heard Billy Childish covering Action Time Vision, but it’s not the same thing.
