I feel guilty for telling Rickard(Guitar) to send me this for review. I will get beaten up and hated I guess but don’t take it personally. Rickard and Emma played in Disconvenience before Epidemics a band which I dug. But Epidemics well… They just try too hard to sound punk. And it fails miserably. I like one song(the song I heard and lead me to say yes to Rickard when asking if he could send it in for review) and that is Bloodstains. The rest just bores me to death. It’s too generic. The lyrics haven nothing to say and the whole thing just left my turntable with out a trace. And I guess that’s what’s going to happen after a few months. No one will remember this. Why didn’t Epidemics try to make a 7″ instead?
And last but not the least the press release is so goodamn funny: “Waking Up The Dead” is that punk record that will get the teens to dye their hair, tag their Converse shoes, skip school and do something good with their life. You said what? Is that a joke? Who wrote this? Please tell me it was an intern who aspire to write for Vecko Revyn.
Maybe next time Epidemics.

I think your review neatly encapsulates about every HC/punk record from at least ’87. They sure don’t make ’em like they used to. It all comes down to a lack of effort. They’ll say, but we spent so much promoting, pressing, gigging . . . how about songwriting?
I think that goes for 90% of punk/HC since at least ’87. It all goes to a lack of effort, people. Get creative! Shove politics! Tap into the rockin’ unknown! If thousands of bands for three decades could do it, why can’t we?
Cremated Alive is a pretty funny title. I’d like to see the video for that one.
Ha ha well I would like to watch that video too Brian :D.
For Gawd’s sake …..
The Hives…the only Svedish group that matters!!
What a joke! Brian, listen to the record! There has probably not been a punkrecord released in the past ten years or so where so much effort has been put down on songwriting. About ten times as much as the Disconvenience records. What a crappy fucking review. Seems like it was the labels press release that was reviewed and not the record.
We put down our soul in it, all our savings, all our hope and passion. I could’t be more proud.
This review was written as it we were some kind of big band with a super label deal. We’re not. We’re just as DIY as we always were. Why didn’t we make a 7″? Again, what a joke. Fortunately, every other person who heard the record seem to have get the point.
As I said Emma don’t take it personally yet you did. Either you learn to take criticism or you’ll end up bitter. For the bands I’ve played in I couldn’t care less if people liked or not as long as I was satisfied. I did it for my own satisfaction.
It wasn’t the press release that got reviewed it was the record. I still don’t like it and stand by my words. Should I get upset just cause you don’t seem to understand the review?
“Fortunately, every other person who heard the record seem to have get the point.” and what is the point?
Emma, your bands sucks. Get over it.
If it ain’t the Hives, it ain’t shit!
Fuck, this is bad. Glad your warned me. Usually love that ny vag stuff but Epidemics don´t do it for me.
Ok, I am beyond blown away that a guy who is in the Flakes would say something sounds generic and that he is disappointed by the lack of lyrical substance. I’m sure you get that alot though. However you are probably right about the 7″.
Ha ha you´ve got us mixed up with the american The Flakes. I kind of agree with you there.
Thank god!
I will check you out. Keep up the good work.
i actually like this record.
I’m with zach. This is actually pretty awesome!!
Saw these lads and gal on tour recently. Sucked even worse live.
