You wanna know what punx is?

Sure you do! The singer of Total Chaos will teach you and then watch him get beaten up. After that he tells you what a fascist are. Fuck, this is some high class comedy LOL :D!! Found this through a thread at the Terminal Boredom blog so thanks.

  2. Can’t see anything … is it only me?

  3. Jay Thurston says:

Erich…you must be a fascist! You don’t want to see it. Therefore you are a fascist! :)

  4. Hahaha, now I saw it. I’m almost speechless. You rarely see a movie in which everybody is a full scale asshole. Brillant!

  5. Jay Thurston says:

The Hives are the last of the true punk rockers.

  6. The Flakes // Drummer says:

The reason for me to post this clip is to unite the punk rock scene! If you don´t like what I post you pick on Absentees, Helen Keller, The Killers, The Mad, GBG Sound, Lizerds and GBH cause they´re my bros you know!

  7. Who else loves it when singers wear their own band’s shirt onstage?

  8. Jay Thurston says:

I am with Peter!!! I really feel it in my heart…deep in my heart!! We punks must unite! Together we will unite and fight! Unity is the only way brothers and sisters. Are you with us or are you against the scene and all it stands for. Unity world wide!! Without us, there would be no scene. Rally the troops, brother Peter, I am with you!!

  9. Noah says:

Clearly he sounds silly to you all and to me, and I assume that none of you were really going to hard core shows in the ’80’s? This is the kind of stuff I saw happen ALL the time in the 80’s. I gotta say that I totally agree with him, I saw a lot of people get beaten up to the point of hospitalization so many times, and yes it ruins the show. I’ve seen broken noses, broken backs, stabbings, faces smashed in, girls beaten up, people stabbed in the face with broken bottles, mobs beating one person up, you name it and all at punk shows….

PS: I’ve seen Jimmy Gestapo wear his own shirt, I doubt you’ll make fun of him, at least to his face, hehe….

  10. Jay Thurston says:

Wow Noah, you said a lot. It sounds to me that way back in the ’80’s it was really chaotic and very dangerous. I am so glad I wasn’t there then. That sounds real scary!! EEK! Almost crapped my pants while reading the horrors of the “old days”..thanks!

  11. james says:

I was there in the 80’s and had my share of scrapes. I just smiled when I saw the video. fuck shit up. that is punk.

  12. Hi Noah,

you’ve seen all my favorite bands (Broken Noses, Broken Backs, Stabbings, Faces Smashed In etc),and you saw them back in the 80s when they were good! I really envy you, despite all the violence and madness you’ve seen. Was in all in NYC?

  13. Radial_XYZpdQ says:

Yes, an ENTIRE scene can be destroyed by the actions of 1 lone assassin gunning for stretch.
These self absorbed throwbacks need to get a haircut & stay in school.
And if a show is being put on by a renegade carpool mom, can we PLEASE make her at least a whole lot more MILFish. I mean you can see her kids in the background fer cryin’ out loud.

  14. Yosef says:

Should one expect anything less than TOTAL CHAOS at a Total Chaos show?

  15. quizmasterchris says:

I thought the woman putting on the show was very cool. A lot of people wouldn’t bother with all ages venues and a lot of people would lump all of the kids into the asshole category instead of saying “I have a problem with one or two people.”

It’s hard to put on shows for mixed age crowds in the US with the stupid alcohol laws and insurance issues, and we (for the most part) don’t have the community centers etc of Europe. If you have an “adult” who’s willing to put up with everything so the local kids can go to a show, that’s a great person to have around.

  16. It’s tough being a tough boy.

  17. jonathan trainham says:

punk isn’t about violence it’s what he said punk is being yourself but these twats who go to these shows majority of thema re cookie cutter through and through, they by the shit from and spike theri hair and treat the bands like their fucking NSYNC and shit, that ain’t punk, I dropped out of my scen because it was so lame we hate war but we advocate violence and small battles against those we hate like christians who do the sam damn thing, fucking hipicites, real punks don’t call themselves punk theyc all themselves by their name and that’s it, they have no niche or label and that is truely what punk is, not some carbon copy facist entity where everyone must conform and shout against conformity!!

  18. I call myself asshole, how’s that JON?

  19. Jay Thurston says:

Yeah! We call Erich, “Asshole”…how’s that JON?? :)

  20. Collin says:

The Casualties will not take this lying down.

  21. Chata Ortega says:

    UNITED we never shall fall”
    Judas Priest 1980.

  22. Jay Thurston says:

Judas Priest??? Oh lord, why?? Hey Chata, I think you are in the wrong place…just a hunch.

  23. R0B says:

Firstly, thanks for posting this clip! After reading a lot of these comments above I get the feeling a lot of people didn’t see this as a really, really lame scene, and pretty damn funny. Seems like the Total Chaos singer has a following who read this blog. And ya, if there are suburban punker/soccer/hockey/cheerleader moms putting on shows, then couldn’t the kids find a hot MILF one in their neighborhood to do it instead of that lady.

  24. onychotillomaniac says:

1: often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.

2: a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control.

3: a young person who attends a hard rock concert in order to engage the obviously homosexual singer of an incredibly weak and pathetic GBH cover band in a bout of fisticuffs.

  25. Sean says:

??? I didn’t think the singer got beaten up? It looked like some drunk idiot wouldn’t let go of him, said idiot got floored, and there was a very minor (average) scuffle.

I came in at the very tail end of the old rowdy scene. There’s nothing punk, let alone human, for doing that kind of grisly violence the old punks seem to wear as a badge of honor.

I don’t believe in anarchy either, but I liked the singer’s charisma and positive attitude.

  26. The Flakes // Drummer says:

You are what you attract maybe? “…grisly violence the old punks seem to wear as a badge of honor.” they do? “I liked the singer’s charisma and positive attitude.” ouch!

  27. “Charisma” is the foreign word for pathetic loser – aura, right?

  28. Noah says:

I know the violence happens all over and beyond NYC, clearly. I’m also not bragging that I was there in the 80’s, or glorifying the “old days” like Jay thursten likes to think I was. Just because one person points something out, everyone has to get so uptight and defensive, and be super witty on the blog world, well go back to your little blogging and be the smart person you are.
No matter how lame this band is, or how lame you think they are, they’re still doing a good thing…..

PS: Broken Noses were indeed a great band, too bad the singer hung himself….

  29. “Clearly he sounds silly to you all and to me, and I assume that none of you were really going to hard core shows in the ’80’s?”

That’s what you wrote in your first glorious comment, Noah. And I thought you’d be telling us youngsters how things were back then, when you were young. :-(

  30. Noah says:

I did tell you how it was, didn’t I? Did you not attend the bible study? I know what I wrote, why do you need to retell me? I know how to move the mouse on the computer….and you are saying this because????

  31. You’re sweet when you’re angry, Noah.

  32. Noah says:

hehehe…you do all know, I’m pulling your chains, I’m not really an assh*le…maybe sometimes!

  33. Jay Thurston says:

    Noah, just having fun.

  34. Chata Ortega says:

I’m not having fun. Punk’s not supposed to be fun. It’s about the upheaval of the bondage cast upon us by the ruling class; who wants us to crawl around deaf, dumb and blind in the world; with only a bottle o booze and a TV show to take the pressure of our backs. Therefore you can have carrot coloured hair, cause it is against their schemes. But really, you gotta go back to the founding fathers of the movement; namely Bachman Turner Overdive, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Ted Nugent. They saw the oncoming disruption of our modern society and decided to put the foot down and say-No, we won’t have this! We’re going to stand up for family values and simple small scale living.

  35. Jay Thurston says:

    Hmmmmmmmm??? Okay.

  36. Ted Nugent especially. A true revilutionary and leftwing extremist. Hahaha.

  37. Noah says:

    Hey I like Creedence Clearwater!

  38. Jay Thurston says:

    Hey I like the Hives!

  39. Pär says:

Haha, I wanna be a punkrocker just like that guy and Avril Lavine.

    np: Ulla Billquist

  40. Jonathan Trainham says:

Hey, I have nothing against punk, real punk exsist on this site, man punk aint the problem like government aint the problem, those are just symbols of power and it’s us, who give power unto these symbols and make them what they are, punk is great and amzing, best music ever, but Total Chaos is just fucking weak, punk could smack them in their noses and they wouldn’t know what it is, I come from the SST mentality, I love CCR, Van halen, etc….

  41. DNGNZ says:

I love the fat guy in plaid who appears to have brought his own mic for some singalongs…or was that a microwave burrito? Oh well…

  42. steve says:

  43. anonymuss says:

Total Chaos apparently don’t like all the people in Portland, OR who have picked on them during their shows here in the past. If this is any part of the reason why they haven’t been through here lately, perhaps wer’e doing something right in this city. Wer’e just a bunch of meanie stupid heads over here. Laugh laugh laugh.

  44. sherpa says:

They shoulda stabbed that fag from total chaos. Hot topic rocker bullshit

  45. Kount Jizznack says:

The English band Total Chaos from 1979 through the early 80’s was alright but leagues ahead of the sorry American one. The true Total Chaos from England had some decent stuff.
