Time for some hard homosexual nazi synth punk out of Sweden. Happy Funeral is about the day they buried Hitler. And Fantastic speaks about the greatness of Mein Kampf. All hail the new downs syndrome.

Are there any records from Sweden I don’t like?

This one was listed in the back of Peter Jandreus book with the description, “New Wave”. I guess New Wave means a lot of things to a lot of people. When applied to Kitchen and the Plastic Spoons . . . I want to live in your country, and marry beautiful Swedish girl !

  2. The Flakes // Drummer says:

Younger people tend to be more strict of what’s punk while we who grew up with it and was in the middle of the whole thing had/has a broader spectrum of what was punk/new wave. When I heard this for the first time on the radio there was no doubt it was just another punk record.

  3. Dude, awesome stuff as always. I’ve been frequenting yer site for a while now and it gave me enough inspiration to make my own punk blog.

It’s small but I’m trying to add personal vinyl rips as well locals material and even DIY project intrustion.

This is actually much better than I remember. Hearing it again makes me wonder why I’ve never bothered to pick it up as I’ve seen it quite a few times. Is the flexi as good as this one as well? I’ve heard it, and just turned it off pretty quick, but maybe I’m more mature in my musical taste now…
I’ve seen this one with a second cover by the way, but I think it’s the same pressing, release year, label etc.

Forgot to say that good old Johannes recently saw a young punk in Gothenburg with Kitchen and the Plastic Spoons written on the back of his jacket!

A welcome addition- especially since I’ve decided to limit my collecting only to “hard homosexual nazi synth punk out of Sweden”.

  10. Wow, “Happy Funeral” is so great! How did I miss this one when you posted it almost 4 years ago?! My loss until now. Kinda reminds me of Red Asphalt in some ways but not all ways. Next I am going to listen to their “Best Off” comp CD…

  11. LOL! I’m sure there is still a pile of Swedish stuff that is unknown to me. And of course the B-side of the Venerias “Monarki” 7″ is one I have never had to pleasure to hear yet…that is probably my biggest Swedish want. Not the vinyl of course just a rip of it…sigh

Reminds me of Lucrate Milk, some old french punk band that also defies the “strict” definition of “punk” (at least for narrow minded punks – In an ideal world those two words should never meet but………)

Have you ever heard about them ???
