Here’s more crazy tight high speed and raw punk for those of us who loves the early Uppsala bands like N-Liners, Rune Strutz and Rävjunk . Butter Utter did this legendary E.P. is 1977 and it’s pretty much a love it or hate it record, as well as one of the very few Swedish punky records from that year.
From what I’ve heard only 10 copies or so came with some kind of cover and/ or insert and I included photo copies of the 2 versions I’ve seen so you have something nice to look at while you do the pogo to this record. The last song (and pretty likely the title of the E.P.) is Javlarnas Jul (Christmas of the bastards) and what could be more appropriate than a title like that a few days before we celibrate yet another birthdays of Jesus? My christmas gift to you is to translate the words of wisedom on the label where the band let us know what kind of music they play (and it’s a damn fine genre as well): Trivial examination room rock without any future. Sug på den karamellen mina vänner!
Pay very close attention to the drums by the way as they shred every other drums ever recorded into tiny, tiny pieces.

What a great A-side, how could things have gone so wrong on the b-side!? At least they have the courtesy to put both good songs on the same side, so you’ll never have to flip it over.
The drummer rules!
Hi,
Just wanted to say thanks for all the great tunes this year. One of the best music sites on the web.
Happy Holidays!
I´ll go home and play “Jävlarnas jul” now! Do it every christmas, I dooooo. Do-bi-do!!! Famous swedish radioguy Kjell Alinge played this song and after that I ordered the record right away!
As their fathers are probably members of the Kansas Corn Growers Association, one of the industries most powerful lobby groups, I worry Woozy Ass might try their hand at covering “Corn Flakes”!
Impressive weak playing throughout. Thanks for posting.
haha. vaffan?! fattar du inte att ironi inte funkar på engelska? jag trodde seriöst det skulle full shred plattan igenom…
