Terror – Ar 2005/Johnny Rebell 7″

Here’s a little 7″ I avoided for a really long time, first after hearing friends say that it wasn’t any good at all, and then after hearing it and thought it was too slow and boring. None the less I decieded to pick it up a few weeks ago and realized that it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was the first time I heard it, but rather quite catchy. It’s not as good as one of their songs on the “Vand oss inte ryggen” compilation LP but still worth a post as  I think it might be a new record for a lot of you guys as it still remains uncomped. Both songs were meant to be included on one of the “Fasten your seat belt!” compilations, that unfortunately never got released, but as I’m a very kind man  all 6 unreleased records in that series will be posted here later on.

Pogo Peter labeled this record as 77 punk in The Encyclopedia of Swedish Punk, but I would rather say that it’s poppy punk in the veins of Tant Brun, but given more of an 80s feel in the production.

I really like it a lot!!!!! The B side sounds like a Clash song…”Groovy Times”

  2. Mike Danger says:

Why am i seeing everything in a mobile theme?!

  3. The Flakes // Drummer says:

Mike, does it work now? If not you have an option at the bottom of the page to turn the mobile theme off. It’s a bit buggy it seems.

Hey,that “Fasten Your Seatbelts” volume 1,2 and 3 on a CD-R (sent to me by Joakim Gä. in 2000) is really cool and 10 years ago I didn´t know all those bands on it like : Start,Heartbreak Hotel,Schnabel,Pictures,Sydkraft
    (their “Surfway” song is a great one IMHO),Kuddkrig,Ingemar Bergman Troop,Easybeat,Mops,Le Garde,Kamejn D Kallsonger,Tables,Stilmord,
and ca. 25 other bands incl.TERROR (same songs as here,if I recall well!).
If those of the maqjority I listed above have records good out, they would definitely be candidates for this very blog hear!
