Repost from April 27th, 2006 . Added more scans and new rips of all the songs.
Here’s one for all lovers of melodic punk rock. Floridas The Reactions extremly sought after second 7inch is good but not great. “Marianne” is the standout track. I know that japanese collectors will go ape shit over this record so if you’ll have something nice to trade I might part with it. For some info about The Reactions click here.

This band is fucking good dude
Glad you like it!
Aside from The Eat, probably my favorite Florida band. Anyone have info on their discography? I bought a pretty good cdr boot CD bout a year ago which includes the entire 1st 7″ and a really well recorded live set with over a dozen songs that to my knowledge weren’t released on anything else unless they happen to have and LP. The website’s called “The Pete Moss Memorial All Night Record Shop” (clik.to/moss) – no .com?! I picked up the Reactions, Essentials, Eat, and a few comp cd’s. For being cdr’s they’re a little pricey but worth it.
Just to clear it up the web address is just:
clik.to/moss
I added the -no.com?! because it threw me off that it didn’t end with .com or .net
I’m such a stupid.
This second 45 is a big step down from the first. Sadly, lots of great songs went unrecorded as the live set shows.
Why wasn’t the whole EP posted?
Hey, killedbycandis, thanks a lot for that site.
Is there any way you could post the other 2 songs?
I forgot to say please…and thank you.
Yes Aaron I will post the other songs but it might take some time since I have other records in the posting queue.
Hi! I really want a copy of this!!
If you don’t mind, would you trade with me?
Sure. Send me an email via: info at kbdrecords dot com.
I don’t know how you can say this record is only good?? It is great, in my opinion. I would love to hear the other two tracks if possible??? Thanks Peter…
I might change my mind. Long time since I listened to it. I’ll do a repost later on anyway.
Thanks…
Goddamn it!! I keep coming back to hear “Nights on End”. What a fucking great song. I rank that up there in my top 50 of all time. The raunchy guitar, driving bass, incredible drumming, mixed with the poppy vocals…it’s a masterpiece. I don’t say that about many songs…thanks Peter. How are the other two songs??
The Eat and The Reactions were the best.
The local radio station WSHE had a contest at the Agora for best local band and The Reactions won they beat out The Kids (Johnny Depp’s band).
There is a recording of it but Issac’s guitar is out of tune.
REACTIONS ~ discography
REACTIONS – Official Release , 45 ~ 500 copies , some without covers ..some without labels , some with only one sided labels ,,,quantity of error pressings are unknown even by the band …
REACTIONS – Love You , 45 ~ 300 copies , out of the 300 copies pressed around 50 of which had a bizzarr defect to where the 45s had a very small crack around 3 centimeters long on the outside of the 45 …ive seen probly 8 t0 10 copies of these , 4 of which had the crack and all 4 somehow had no audioble noise from it …cracks being hairline not affecting the music …over time if you played these 45s alot im sure the cracks would really start to present them selves…
REACTIONS – Love You 10″ originally there were suppose to be 300 of these pressed but the the two members that put it together ran out of cash and only had 150 copies pressed ,,,this came out a little over 12 years ago i believe ,and it was all but gone before you could even get yer hands on it …i remember hearing about this release and searching high and low trying to find who would have it fer sale …to my despair most of this pressing went to japan to be sold ….
Peter, will you please post the other two songs??
Yepp, when I got the time and inspiration to do so. Hold on!
Peter, I hear you have inspiration today and are going to post the other two songs that I have never heard. Thanks!
It must be the day where you are going to put up the other two songs???
Track 1 and 4 are still not posted? In that case there’s an error. “Marianne” and “I can’t help it” were really grreat tunes btw…
fixed
Hi,
I posted what I believe to be the complete Reactions discography at http://www.punkerwear.com/punkt-shirtsspecial.html
It is 14 songs. Some from the two 7″s and some that went unreleased. I will only leave it up for a short time.
Thanks,
Bob
Thanks Peter!! Thanks Bob!! This is one of those bands that I passed up on. What a shame. They were absolutely fantastic!! I am still looking for the CD…
I have a Reactions video somewhere in which they play other songs I never heard recorded. By most accounts, they were a band that really should have gone further. Perhaps if they were from California or New York, they’d be a more household name today. Another great Ft Lauderdale band with a similar sound and story is The Essentials. The Essentials “Fast Music In A Slow Town” 7″ is one of the best Florida records of all time. I’m sure it has been on a blog somewhere or maybe Peter will post it here.
Bob
I did not like the Essentials 7″…so, as usual, I gave it away. I would have kept this 7″ if I would have bought it.
Actually, as I recall, I do like the Essentials 7″…I don’t know why I gave it away?
I posted the Essentials 7″ exactly a year ago yesterday :):

beginning of “Marianne” reminds of of Naked Raygun’s “Terminal”…
beginning of “Marianne” reminds me of Naked Raygun’s “Terminal”…

thank you kbd its wonderfull.
“I can’t Help it” is the same as the Screaming Sneakers’ one (www.myspace.com/screamingsneakers).
Who’s the original ??
Hi Tino!
If you look at the label b side you can see it’s an Reactions original so Screaming Sneakers do a cover of it.
Thanks a lot! the Screaming Sneakers was an interesting band 80’s from South Florida that fits perfectly with the Reactions, the Eat or the Abusers…the cover is nice but not very different from the original, except the lovely female vocals.
Yeah the Marching Orders song is so incredible amazing. Too bad the rest of the 12″ doesn’t live up to that quality.
Violent days is a great song too, the two others are more in a New wave way, not so interesting but decent
Sorry I meant Violent Days not Marching Orders.
he’s got a great voice. thanks.
my uncle was the lead singer in The Reactions, had no idea they had such a good following. however i do know that the reason why they never got anywhere was due to my grandfather holding him back from touring. email me all the videos you have, i’m sure he would love to see whats circulating around.
