Almost 5 years ago Peter posted the second version of Docent Dod’s Krig och karlek and claimed that it was their second release. Not entirely correct as this 7″ was their second release, even if they did it under the name Mats Olofsson med Docent Dod. Released on the bands own Jaktskivan the same year as they got picked up by the major label Sonet, this flat and round disc has an earlier version of the title track and a much better b-side. It’s once again time to get the punks to sing dut-dut-dut-dut-dut-dut, as well as na-na-na-na-na-na-na on the flip.
Now let’s see if we can get some people not invloved with postings on this site to comment on both versions of Krig och karlek.

This bass line is really great, but overall i’d prefer the album version. But great post!
By the way, this is one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands. Greetings from brasil!
i like the other 7″ version. this one has too high of vocals.
These two songs totally worked for me….thanks!
krig och karlek is wonderfull.thank you kbd.
Great material. Anyone knows that album “Ge Henne Alt” was released on CD?
I’ve got other four Docent Dod’s compacts and I’m looking only this album.
Cool site.
Hi Paul,
I don’t think Ge henne allt has been released on CD, but if you want it on vinyl it’s really cheap and easy to find.
Is this the version they used on that promo video that was shown before the Clash – Rude Boy in Sweden? I haven’t seen that for a while. The other 7″ is the album version, which is a lot better (but I am just hearing this earlier version for the first time).
Hur kan det kommer sig is a great song, along with Hjärta av guld from the mini-lp, for songs I wasn’t that familiar with until a little awhile ago. I have been listening to the first two albums for a couple of years and love them both.
