The Outlets – S/T 7″

Rick Barton on guitar here who went on to form one of the worst contemporary “punk” bands around: Dropkick Murphys. Well Bright Lights may come close to the crapiness of DM but since Best Friends is such an outstanding poppunk/powerpop smasher I can live with that. Put your skinny ties on! Fuck punk rock this is new wave!

I was a big new wave guy from when it started until it became new romance shit. Can’t say this is new wave. It’s good power pop with a punk edge but we’d never have called it new wave. There goes my 2 cents!

They put this on a CD a few years back: http://www.outletsrock.com/

Their LP on Restless also has one GREAT side and one blah side. That one side is worth the $10-15 you’d spend on ebay or discogs. Really good!
