Controllers – Slow Boy E.P. 7″

Really need to keep this site going but got so much else to do right now so bare with me that the accompanied text may be worse than usual. If that’s possible. Controllers second output. They appeared on the legendary(?) What? compilation 7″ with Eyes and Skulls and then released the Neutron Bomb 7″ which is quite hard to come by. Slow Boy is a really great track while Do the Uganda is a fun no brainer. And Suburban Suicide is so boring it makes you want to commit suicide. See you on the other side.

Very spot on Peter, slow boy is amazingly catchy, Do the Uganda is really stupid and SS sounds like a warm up jam from a rehearsal, and should have been left as that.

The first 7″ is very good, this one is… well… let’s just say that this is not their best material. No wonder they broke up shortly after it was released. Stingray did much better with Kaos. “Slow Boy” is still a cool proto-HC number, though. Thanks for sharing, Pete.

Johnny Stingray told me that the reason why this record seems harder to find a legit copy of, more than their first record, is because their producer Philippe (Siamese Records) had most of the pressing in the trunk of his car when his car was stolen.
