Babeez – Dowanna Love E.P. 7″

Babeez as most of you may know turned into the News(Chop Chop, That girl etc) so if you dig the News this will please you as well I guess. Just as great as the Chop Chop 7inch. A bit rawer. I love his voice and it makes me stand the slow Nobody Wants Me which I actually think is great. I’m out of here. It’s summer. It’s hot. Dowanna love.

Wow, the Babeez!! They were sort of a perverted version of the Ramones, with a vague political consciousness. My fave song is “Hate”. What about the Proles? They were kind of a “twin band” or, at least, close friends with the Babeez, if memory serves right…. Thanks!

    • The Flakes // Drummer says:

You’re talking about The Proles who released the Police 7″ in 1979?

      • Chano says:

Well, to be TOTALLY correct the Proles “Police/Underaged” 7″ was released in 1979/80 but was actually recorded in 1978. ;-) anyway yes, i’m talking about those Proles. Got the ep? You like it? I think it’s a pretty cool record, not as good as Babeez, though….

    • FGHHTT says:

What’s fuckin’ political about Babeez? There’s no politics at all on this record!

Brilliant record, I love this dirty sound!

  4. Martin says:

Probably being the odd man out here I prefer Nobody wants me (but can’t stop thinking it’s a cover). The singer is magnificent by the way.
