Ah Sweden!! I love my country. And I love the old punk rock that our beautiful country have provided us with. P3 is an intense dirty track that speaks out against the best radio channel we had and still have. Inte vanda mig om is pure swedish progg or something that the famous Ted Gardestad could’ve done. Not bad. But it’s not punk. A perfect song coupled with a pipe of hash, swedish folkol and a fat bird on a warm summer night. Morgan the bass player made a great 7inch and is also rumored to have produced the two first 7inches by Rude Kids.

Too bad the b-side doesn’t live up to the high quality of Get Out. So intense. The bass sound and the way he plays it is just amazing. And what a break after the second chorus!! Hilarious sloppy drumming done the right way. Clocks in on 1:20 which means this is one of the best punk rock you’ll ever here.

By the way, this has to be one of the most amazing sleeves I’ve seen due to the prettiness of these boys. Who shall I choose? I think I’ll go with Steven Lightfoot.

Why Noise ain’t as hyped as Kriminella Gitarrer beats me. They’re on the same label and nearly as great. What makes Noise stands out is their use of synth which is quiet high in the mix. I don’t mind. Sounds great to my ears. Here’s Noise debut 7inch. Their second one Stopp! is great too. You think this was a short text? Well I need to take a dump. See ya!

This is a repost from April the 1th 2006. Added more scans, re-recorded and uploaded all the tracks.

Thanks to Jimmi Quidd(vocals) the Bad Brains was able to record “Pay To Cum” during their time in NY in 1979. Quidd took money out of his own pocket to finance the recording that wasn’t released until 1980. Quidd also produced “Nine Toes Later” by The Undead(ex Misfit member). The title track is a great up beat punk/powerpop thrasher. Jimi died in 1990. Thank you Jimi for this and the Bad Brains.

Todays flea market find:$2. The Maroons really hard to get 7 inch. I hadn’t heard it but seen it on some big collectors want lists. What a great surprise that it’s a killer one too! Some punked up 60’s influenced stuff here. For all you pop nerds that have been missing the powerpop lately shall have a close listen to Out Tonight. Complete with hand claps and sugary harmonies. Short and sweet just the way I like it.

No Condition is a chopped up killer track with awesome vocals and great drumming. I know absolutely nothing about this band. Anyone?

I’m baffeled! Not only is World War 3 the best song by these Canadian hockey punks but it’s OVER 4 minutes long. There’s a great video to this song too. Cool sneers, poses, great light and most important bad skin complexion! If there’s one thing that sort out real punks from the rest it’s pimples and oily skin. Ok, you’ve got to be ugly too. There’s too many good looking people in bands nowadays. That really sucks.

I saw D.O.A. live in 1985(?) at the infamous Ultra Huset in Stockholm/Sweden. Amazing show! And I was greatful they didn’t care that it was only about 20 people who showed up but rocked that building hard as hell. Got a tape of that show some where.

The End - S/T 7″

end_label_a.jpg end_label_b.jpg

This one came in late in my life. I had never heard about The End until a year ago or something like that. It says 1980 on the labels but sources have confirmed it was released in Oct. 1979. With that said the b-side Krossa! has to be one of the earliest attempt at HC along with the likes of Middle Class, Bad Brains, Germs, Massmedia and ____(fill in your own band).

The first copies came with a sleeve: white with fingerprints and The End hand stamped on the front. I haven’t seen one. Recorded on a 2 track in a school in Mora/Sweden. What tickles me is the end of Krossa! listen to the knocking. Who’s knocking? My guess is Gosta Bohman from Moderaterna.

A must read is Stuart Schraders article published in MRR February 2005(thanks for the link Stuart). He cover bands like Problem, Razzia, Homo Electrica and of course The End.

The End was:
Patrik Gustavsson:Drums(axe murdered in Mora in 1991)
Ingemar Sollgard:Guitar
Bengt Agefjord:Bass, Vocals

Year: 1979

For completist reasons I just have to upload some classic Dangerhouse stuff. You don’t mind don’t ya? Most of you know this but hopefully someone who’ve been hiding under his cock(rock?) have missed it. Dickiesque as hell but I don’t mind at all. Most people prefer TAQN and it’s a great song but for Idi Amins sake don’t let the equally great Topological Lies slip you by.

Did you know that Joe Ramirez later joined Slayer? Changed his name though.

Second release by Australias the Razar. To me this is as good as their firts posted earlier on here. My favourite track by ‘em can be found on this piece of plastic: Shutdown Countdown. Sounds almost like Darby Crash gone down under to help them out on the intro. As you can hear the singer of Razar got that nasal and obnoxious voice also found in Young Identities. Awesome!

Came without a sleeve upon its release but thanks to some nice folks the intended sleeve saw the light together with the original vinyl in 1999 I think.
