“Killed By Death Vol. 12″ has “Knife Manual” but “Social Bitch” is the killer track! From Hyped 2 Death: “TheSilly Killers were the last of three terrific punk bands on the excellent No Threes label to share a drummer named Duff McKagan. His later career in Guns’n'Roses probably kept more punks from checking out “Knife Manual” than it attracted Leader Chris “Slats” Harvey now helms a band called Pain Cocktail.” All tracks goes out to Brian from Portland who lost his whole collection and this is one of his requests.

It’s something coocking in Sweden. You’ve heard “Knugen Faller” before and here’s “The Vicious”. Has “Sara Almgren” who played keyboard in “T(i)NC”. Heard they’re in USA right now on a tour so here’s a little plug to check ‘em out. Vicious have an LP out too that I still haven’t heard.

The Jermz – Power Cut 7″
May 17th, 2006 by The Flakes // Drummer
From Dizzy at Detour Records: “The actual studio was also responsible for the two classic releases by another local band “Sema 4″ as well as ‘Xpress’. The actual studio time was paid for my a local record shop called “Feelgood” Records and it was produced by ‘Urban Blitz’ of Doctors Of Madness who had travelled up from London especially to produce it.“. On the labels you can read “Ripping Off Prohibited” so here we go. Counting in in German is a strong mark of true punk rock as well as slightly out of tuned guitar and bass. Got a spare to trade/sell!

Ovenmen – Rock Against Racism E.P. 7″
May 16th, 2006 by The Flakes // Drummer
Searching Google gives you nothing on Ovenmen. This band has been a mystery to me since 2003 when I first stumbled upon it in Copenhagen at a record shop named “Route 66″. Apparently this was a one man project cause the adress on the back reads: “Louis(Ovenman) Lopes, 144 Broadway 6thfl, Williamsburg N.Y 11211″ with the help of “Mark Maniac” on keyboards, rythm box and vocals. Another note on the back of the sleeve he thanks some former members who was in the band in Boston between 77-78 then called “Ovenman And The Roasters”. Great stuff!
