I’m always thinking about Goran Lind the singer from Swedens S.O.D. when I listen to old Italian Hardcore. Maybe cause he was the guy who sold the early stuff like: Wretched/Indigesti split, Peggio Punx etc etc. Here’s one of Italys finest. Intense, desperate and energetic. AND the drum sound! One word: WOW!

I just have to post this one! Peter Kagerland, the guitarplayer, was the person who introduced me into punkrock in 1977. He started this band in 1978 (first named Osmans ekvens) and in the spring 1979 he asked me to be their singer! Well, I was 12 years old and fucking scared to death…I didn´t became the singer, but I brought my taperecorder to a rehearsal and here´s a sample of the result. R.A.S. split up in 1979 and Peter Kagerland joined SPY and he brought “Jag maste ga” which later appeared on SPY 7″ in 1980.

I discovered Punishment of luxury in the mid 80´s and it´s a mystery why I haven´t heard their music earlier! Here we have some odd punk(?) with a very personal style - fantastic! As far as I know, they did release 4 7″ and 1 LP.

Think about this kids:”After searching hard you’ve found a new name/the word may be new but it stils means the same/I don’t want hardcore to be this year’s thing/’cos only the wrong bands will get exposure/Bandwagon men, bandwagon women/You suck, suck, suck ,suck, suck, suck me dry…” from “Bandwagon”.
