One of the best bands out of Finland. This is their second release. It took me awhile before I discovered the older finnish bands. I got into the finnish scene through Hardcore bands like Bastards, Riistetyt, Appendix etc. Hm not quiet true when I think about it. I got my first 7″ in 1981 from my mommys friend who’ve bought me an Eppu Normali 7″ which was a big dissapointment. I also bought one of Pelle Miljona Oys LPs when I was in Finland summer of 1981. What about Lama then? Don’t know much. Maybe some of them went on to some HC bands?

If this is your first encounter with Big Boys and you’ve heard what a great Hardcore band they where then take note that this is their first and softest album. My least favourite BB LP but it still have some great tracks on it and Randys voice is hard to beat. “Security” gets my vote as the best song here. Rare as hell with only 800 pressed.

I used to love Zmiv so I was quit suprised when I put this on for the first time in a few years and find out that it’s time to let it go. Even used to have the ugly front mohawked skeleton guy painted on the back on one of my leather jackets. It’s not like putting on Neos or Deep Wound which I still get a rush from so anyone interested in buying/trading my copy of Zmiv give me a hint. You’ll get the wrong song titles for every song just as intended. Some of the Zmiv guys are still active: click here!

Wacky, geeky punk rock that kind of remember me of our old band Raped Teenagers but less Hardcore. Read their story: here! Got a 10″ flexi from 1980 too that isn’t my cup of tea so if any die-hard fan want to trade/buy it let me know.

Dave Faulkner(Flick) who formed “The Victims” would later join Manikins but by then they weren’t that good. This debutes A-side is brilliant though and have been on “Break The Rules no. 3″ comp. LP. Sort of a Rich Kids feel to it. Think it’s the guitar sound. “Radio World” could’ve been good if the guitars where as loud as on “Never…”. Manikins came out of one of Australias first punk bands “The Cheap Nasties” some of the Nasties went on to form “The Scientists” and some other to “Manikins”.

Released under the name “K-Tels” they later had to change their name to “Young Canadians”. This effort never came with a sleeve. “Young Canadians” released a decent 12″ EP in 1980. I thought “Automan” was slowed down due to the strange deep character in Art’s voice.

A punkclassic on RAW records with that charactaristic sound created in Spaceward studio. Well, I hope I´m right when I make a guess on that studio…the cover doesn´t tell and neither does the label but IT SOUNDS like a spaceward recording. What happened next to this great band?

Yeah yeah yeah yeah I’ve taken the b-side as the title of the record. That’s because it’s handcrafted by a genious. Turn your lights on and listen Thomas Edison EDISON! Read more about Thomas click here. Bob released an LP which I haven’t heard. Pons Maar the drummer was an actor in the cult classic “The Blob“.

Ok, here comes the whole song title: “Hungry Men No Longer Steal Sheep But Are There Hanging Judges?”. On Chuck Warners(Hyped 2 Death) “Messthetics no. 8″ comp. Know nothing about this band. Did it have a sleeve? How many copies where pressed? Did they release anything else? It’s a great track anyway. You may think that “New Wave Love” would be a great song according to the title. It’s not.
