Ok, here comes the whole song title: “Hungry Men No Longer Steal Sheep But Are There Hanging Judges?”. On Chuck Warners(Hyped 2 Death) “Messthetics no. 8″ comp. Know nothing about this band. Did it have a sleeve? How many copies where pressed? Did they release anything else? It’s a great track anyway. You may think that “New Wave Love” would be a great song according to the title. It’s not.

When I first heard this one I couldn´t tell if it´s a male or female singer…But who cares? FDS were one of the bands in the early punkmovement in Ragsved, Stockholm, from which Ebba Gron is the most famous.

Kurt-Sunes Med Berit from Stockholm made a handful of singles and some LP´s as well. They also appeared on ”Bakverk 80″ - a compilation with 3 swedish bands; KSMB, Travolta kids and Incest brothers. This is their first LP and I really like the power of their punkrock (or rockpunk).

What the fuck? BOTH songs are available for download!!! Well that’s just because both songs are classics and a must have. This is from the re-press a couple of years ago. 200 copies and now, like the original release, very hard to find. This one beats the hell out of the “Jans Room” 7″ if you ask me. And you did! Didn’t ya!

Rumours has it that the singer from “DP” went on to GWAR. Anyway this E.P have two great tracks and I’m pussled that not more people have been raving about this band since these tracks are great Hardcore. Maybe because their lyrics where too funny for the boring and serious HC audience. This record got lots of spinning in the 80’s. We love you fat man! Here’s some tasty info: ‘If we were going to see a show, what would we want to see?’ Well hell, we’d want to see barbarian mutants from another planet chopping people’s heads off.”

Another long time fave that I was certain had appeard as a 7″ in the early 80’s. Suprise suprise when I found out that “Modern Machine” had only appeared on the “Beach Blvd” comp. LP BUT Posh Boy had released a 7″ in the early 90’s containing two tracks from the comp. The Crowd is still active and you can check them out at: www.thecrowd.com. Haven’t heard another track from them that can match “Modern Machine” though.

A forgotten gem that you still can pick up at eBay cheap. Haven’t been comped yet. Two great tracks out of four. Guitarist and singer of Dred is featured in the extra material of the US version of “The Filt And The Fury”. Great band that needs more attention. Download and spread to people who knows great music when they hear it.

“Coming Up For Air” have followed me since I was a kid and I still love it as much as I did back then. What a dissapointment to find out that the rest of the songs suck. The snare intro is so simple yet it sets the standard for a great song to come. Released with the sleeve you see pictured and a stamped more common sleeve. The labels on my record makes me wonder if I have a test press of this one. It’s stamped on one side with all the song names and the other side is white.

The genious behind The Deadbeats solo band. Alot of great stuff have been done by Geza among producing one of the best punk 7inches in 1978 namely “Lexicon Devil” by The Germs. He also helped Modern Warfare, The Feederz and other bands too many to make a list here. “First mean Mr. Mommy Man made a deal with the doctor to c-c-c-cut the worms out of my head. uh uh uh…oh no not the buttplayers oh hurts feels good”.

The Rich Rags have been talked about more and more during the last year. I got this 7″ in 2003 but without the original sleeve so if anyone got a scan that would be higly appreciated. The Rags are about to release a CD inluding their two 7inches this beeing their second release. Read about Rich Rags HERE! I found and old Rich Rags page that’ve closed down where the original version of “Jeffry…” where published. The 7″ version was speeded up by mistake if I recall it right. Which of course only make it better.
