What the fuck? BOTH songs are available for download!!! Well that’s just because both songs are classics and a must have. This is from the re-press a couple of years ago. 200 copies and now, like the original release, very hard to find. This one beats the hell out of the “Jans Room” 7″ if you ask me. And you did! Didn’t ya!

Indeed a classic! My copy of this boot has a green sleeve and it seems like I may have seen another color at some point. A friend has an original that Steve Miller hand wrote him a lyrics insert for, always thought that was a nice touch to a great record.
You should post that hand written insert at your site for collectors to droll at :).
I dunno if he still has it, haven’t talked to him in a long time (it was Kris from Staplegun Records — he had all that shit, Necros skatepark sleeve, you name it.) Steve and Mike signed my Jan’s Rooms for me, not as cool as the lyrics thing but whatever. I think Steve wrote something like “have fun, stay cool, see ya next summer” like we were at camp together or something.
HA HA HA LOL :D! And you’re sure you wheren’t on a camp togheter? A punk gay camp?
well it’s funny you mention that because Mike also signed my Crippled Children Suck 7″ and slipped some gay porn inside the plastic sleeve (not sure what it was he tore it out of but it was close enough to grab without getting up.) I’m sure it’s probably still there…
ha ha ha ha I’m laughing my ass off over here. I did a special version for a friend of mine in the States who bought the first 7″ with our old band Raped Teenagers. Some really nice porn pictures complete with swastikas, peace and anarcho signs. I whish I keept it for myself. I can’t redo it.
Ever seen the Fear “Fresh Flesh” bootleg (cool, has some unreleased songs)? There’s a “normal” sleeve and then a less common one known as the “porn” sleeve. It has some, well, porn on it. Always thought that was an odd choice for a Fear release (the normal one just has some band shots or something.)
Raped Teenagers rings a bell! Is there something I can listen to?
Never heard off or seen that Fear bootleg. Is it from “The Record” era?
7inchpunk.com posted our first 14 track 7″ EP a while ago.
Pretty sure it’s pre-“The Record” (but not by much and would have to double check to be sure.) I’ve got the whole gig on tape, I’ll post it eventually.
Cool, I’ll look for the RT post…
That FEAR show is from 1982…the “Porn” sleeve has some transexual fuck photo as a goof,as FEAR made a habit of razzing gays at gigs,in fact theres is some on this 7″..something about freddie mercury and audience members wearing girls underwear if memory serves..and waiting for the gas was called ‘whack him on the ass”
RAPED TEENAGERS!!??!! one of the soundtracks that “destroyed” my life 20+ years ago…LOVE the 7″ & the comp tracks & flexi.YEAH!!! unfortunately,i never got a chance to hear the LP. saw it in used bins a few times, but it was always too expensive ( i’m a cheap bastard!)
thank you for posting this. i was curious after seeing an original sell on ebay for more than my car cost…
Hey Wedge! Ha ha we “destroyed” your life. Glad to read that. We released 1 12″ mini LP, 2 studio LPs and one live LP.
TVEye // Drummer = Packe who sang and played guitar
The Flakes // Drummer = me, Peter how played drums in Raped T.
really excited to find this! i’ve definitely have had a difficult time finding downloads for them.
One of the 5 best Punk/ HC singles… ever.
Sure it beats the shit off the Jan’s Rooms EP. (And that one’s a scorcher too, so go figure)
their “JAN´S ROOMS” belongs in my All-Time Hard-Core CLASSIC record
Um, this is a great 7″- and the song “Vengeance” made my Top 250 song list on my blog- but, man, the “Jan’s Rooms” EP is a DESTROYER of a HC record! So jaw dropping and intense (for me at least)- especially when you play the whole thing from start to finish, all 4 songs smoke. Is there a tighter played HC EP out there than Jan’s Rooms? Someone I am acquainted with found an ORIGINAL copy of the “Vengeance” 7″ here in Chicago about 15 years ago for next to nothing. But then again, what old punk or HC record couldn’t be found cheap 15 years ago?! I could list a ton of records that I found for $2-5 about 15 years ago that now go for a lot of money now. Cheap rarities were so plentiful in the mid 90’s, I used to pass over some rare KBD stuff during my weekly record hunts because a 7″ would be priced between $6.99 and $9.99 and not $3.99 and that was “way too much” to pay- LOL! But in 2009 owning a physical record is much less important to my aging self than just hearing the darn music on it. I still buy records, of course, but if one “gets away” then, oh well, what the fuck can you do. eBay is a non-stop record shop if you’re willing to plunk down the cash so you can always find stuff there 24 hours a day. But I think obsessive record collecting will drive you crazy and cause sleepless nights (and debt!).
Man, I just re-read my last comment above and that was like the most rambling thing ever…
The first FIX 7″ was one of those records that were high priced (valued) right from the start. If you found one cheap in the 90s, you were a lucky bastard.
The 2nd 7″ is indeed a MONSTER. “Cos the Elite” has got to be on of the most intense moments in the recorded music history and the EP as a whole crushes you like a freight train.
As a HC fan but far from heavy ‘collector’, my original copy of Jan’s Rooms was my best ever find. £3.50 from a market trader in Kingston (London) in ’89 along with the 1st Neos EP. I skipped the Social Unrest 7″ and SF Underground 2 EP to my regret but money was tight. Same guy sold me the 1st Whitehouse LP for £8…bargain!
Bargain buying. Proper job!
I think the best I did was finding the ‘Streets’ comp for a quid from some thrift store in 2001, on my walk to Notting Hill. I almost didn’t bother going in there. Was worth looking through the 500 albums they had though!
No, wait… the best I did, was walking out of my house to find the first Discharge 7″ just lying there in its sleeve at the bottom of the steps.
thanx! Classic!
My copy of this doesn’t have a pic of the band. It’s red and the lettering is bigger. Haven’t heard it in a long time, no turntable, and the disc is in storage. So thanks for this.
